Three-parts art exhibition, one-part performative experience, - FLOW - is the culmination of Doug Walker's three-month residency onsite at BFAC, opening next Friday, November 30.
.
The self-taught artist’s unmistakable palette is a response to the thousands of white walls he’s painted over the years during his career as a house painter.
.

And while he’s exhibited works publicly before, this exhibition marks Walker’s first professional residency.
.
“I’ve had space to reflect on my journey as an artist here at BFAC over the past three months,” he said.
.
“I’ve been able to experiment my medium and methods without being confined in anyway … all in all, the whole concept has given me a pathway to continue on from, as an artist.”
.

His almost liquid light boxes and vibrant works explore concepts of contrast: A push and pull between the light and the dark; liquid sheer and rough texture; freedom and expectation.

We're excited to share this one with you.
.
