Yesterday the Deputy Prime Minister @barnaby.joyce announced that the Regional Investment Corporation will be based in Calare. The Corporation will be responsible for administering over $4 billion in concessional loans (drought relief) and water infrastructure loans.
In the set-up stage there'll be 25 new jobs, with 31 to be delivered in the first two years.
When I heard the RIC was looking for a home, I immediately volunteered Calare. And given the economies of Bathurst and Orange are so closely connected with hundreds commuting between the two cities each day, there is no doubt that the folks from Blayney and Bathurst will certainly get a chance to apply for and bag one of these jobs.
It's great news for the Central West! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
