I've had some recent new followers and wanted to give an introduction to you all and welcome you!⠀
______⠀

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Katie, holistic health coach, wife, dog mom, and mother to a 3 year old girl. I reside in Georgia after having lived in Texas, Arizona, and Illinois, but we're always up for an adventure and who knows if we'll stay put. Hint: probably not!⠀
______⠀

If you were to look at this picture, you wouldn't think anything of it. I was out hiking with my family a couple years ago, got to see a spectacular waterfall, and as you can see I was smiling. Here's the thing you can't tell from a picture, I was suffering from postpartum depression. It can be hard to spot in some cases, especially as an outsider.⠀
______⠀

What I am passionate about is spreading the awareness of postpartum depression, what it really looks like, and how to manage it through a natural approach.⠀
______⠀

The truth is, I didn't know I had it until she was almost 2 years old. It breaks my heart to know I can never get that time back. I don't want that for you. ⠀
______⠀

The first step to healing is figuring out what's wrong. Social media can make things foggy for us. It can be confusing after giving birth to see so many memes about mom brain, how frazzled you look after you put the kids to bed, and more. We begin to think it's normal as a mom to experience these things, when in fact, it's just common. ⠀
______⠀

20-25% of moms experience postpartum depression, making it a very typical thing. So I'm hear to weed out the confusion. Stay with me and I'll share resources, some symptoms of postpartum depression, healing tools, and more!⠀
______⠀

I'd love to hear from you! What is one tip you have for moms during their postpartum period?
