Alright, so we discussed postpartum depression last week. It’s often used as an umbrella term for all the maternal mental health disorders which can be confusing. On top of that, one of the symptoms of depression is anxiety. Many women go a long time without knowing the true answer. Let’s clear it up!⠀

Anxiety has symptoms dealing with the brain and your thoughts as well as physical symptoms. Some things you may be experiencing are: ⠀
Racing thoughts⠀
Constant worry⠀
Disturbance in sleep⠀
Inability to sit still⠀
Constant feeling like something bad is going to happen⠀
Butterflies in your stomach⠀
Panic attacks⠀
Can’t keep food down⠀
Tightness in chest⠀
Dry mouth⠀

There are many types of anxiety. It can show as social anxiety, panic attacks, or even perfectionism. It can get tricky, but I fully believe that you know yourself better than anyone. It’s important to figure out what’s really going on so that you can heal. The diagnosis one of the biggest factors in healing because once that’s determined you can come up with a healing plan. ⠀

If you know you have anxiety, and are looking for that healing plan, DM me, I’d love to help you.
