What I love most about skills of strength is the challenge.
Bent presses are one of those incredibly challenging lifts.
The rotary component requires spine and hip mobility and loads of practice to master.
I’m far from mastering the bent press, but am enjoying the process of practice and learning to use different implements in training.
Yesterday was the 24 and 32 kg Kettlebells. Today, our new circus dumbbell (loaded to 60#). I love the uniqueness of the dumbbell... very “strongmanesque”! 💪🏼
The bent press is great for increasing lat and rotational strength. As well as core and shoulder stability. The ultimate strength (strongman) exercise!
Shout out to @strongashec for his windmill/ bent press drills, they’ve been incredibly helpful in developing this lift.
