Please come and join me on Thursday, April 18th in welcoming author, civil engineer, and 2011 Wisconsin History Website Award winner, Yance Marti! Mr. Marti will be hosting a presentation and discussion in relation to his topic of both of his books, Missing Milwaukee (2011) and Wicked Milwaukee (2018); scandalous activities in the Milwaukee area. His books cover things such as drug rackets, specifically opium and liquor, prostitution, and gambling. Mr. Marti will mainly be directing his presentation towards his newer book, Wicked Milwaukee. There will be a live jazz singer, on Thursday, the 18th, as well as light foods and drinks (alcoholic or virgin). To add to the festivities we will hold a silent auction throughout the night, that is complete with some artifacts we intend to auction off. With sponsorship from both the Zimmerman Architectural Studios and ourselves this event would not have been possible for us to engage in. RSVP is required.
