Points to remember if you want to get something out of jump training: 	1. Minimal ground contact time. It is not how high you jump, but how high you jump in the shortest amount of time possible (rate of force development). 2. Minimal hip bend. Jumping on a high box with a lot of hip flexion doesn’t improve your vertical jump. It improves your hip flexion. If you are going to jump on a box, use a box that you can jump on with your legs straight (a.k.a. a lower box). 3. Get strong first. Without a base of strength developed in the gym, no amount of jump training is going to help you. It is the combination of plyometrics and heavy strength developed over a long period of time what will give you results.
