Lunchbox today is about simple meals  and the delight of sharing them with friends. We all have shared our dabbas with our friends in school and Little A loves it too! The beauty and innocence of childhood is what makes it so beautiful 🌈
.
👉 For breakfast, it's Beetroot Oats Cheela. Oats is one of my favourite ingredients and i love using it for breakfast. Be it for upma or cheela, this is one item that is good for health and perfect for the go to meal. For the batter i used oats(roasted and grinded), beetroot puree, chopped onion and coriander along with basic spices. It tastes yumm and Little A loves it 💕

👉 Dry fruits for the extra power ⚡️

👉 For lunch, it's Carrot and Peas Pulao and Boondi raita. Little A is not very fond of peas but somehow she doesn't mind when it is served with rice 😉 Interesting, isn't it! So, sauté some chopped onions, add peas and grated carrots 🥕, basic spices, a hint of garam masala and rice. I also add a spoonful 🥄 of ghee once it's done.

Lunchbox today is about Freedom 🇮🇳and the connection it has with every individual. Freedom to me is the essence of every small thing we do. A feeling which gives us a sense of pride and the wings to soar high. 
Little A is very excited about the school celebration tomorrow, and is busy practicing for the function.

👉 Breakfast today is Idli with ghee. Simple basic version and it tastes amazing with a dollop of ghee.

👉 For lunch, it's Green moong cheela or Pesarattu with masala. I love green moong dosa and so does little A.

Lunchbox today is about lip smacking finger licking dishes which Little A loves! Healthy lunches and snacks are important for active children. Try and include fresh fruit, vegetables and a combination of protein and carbohydrate foods.

👉 For breakfast, it's Moong dal Chilla with potato filling. It's delicious, healthy and nutritious. If you plan to make chilla for breakfast, you need to soak the dal overnight. Grind it with some green chillies and ginger. Add the basic spices and the batter is ready. For the potato filling, I simply mashed the potatoes and sautéed it with the basic spices and coriander leaves. You can try different kind of filling too! Or else, plain cheela with green chutney also tastes yummm 😋
.
👉 For lunch, it's Jeera rice with Pindi Chole Masala. Pindi Chole is a very popular main course dish from the Punjabi cuisine made with Kabuli chana perfectly spiced with masala spices. And it tastes good with both rice and paratha. I have however not made it very spicy and also not added ginger julliene. A perfect combination for lunch!

Lunchbox today is about being achromatic as I ended up sticking to the shades of WHITE 🌫️🌫️🌫️ This made me thinking about the beauty of white! For me it's associated with light, goodness, innocence, and perfection.

👉 For breakfast, it's Mawa Upma or Dry fruits Upma. Upma is often experimented with and adding a nutty twist to the regular upma is a great way to kick start the day!

👉 Caramelized Makhana for munching and extra power ⚡️ I have always loved makhana and my mom has actually experimented with them 20 years back! From caramel makhana to salty ones to simple roasted ones. At one point of time, makhana was not very popular and was used only while fasting. Today, it's the new super food and is everywhere with every possible flavour!

👉 For lunch, it's Corn and cheese Fussili pasta along with crushed basil leaves. This is yet another delicious recipe using pasta. Of late, I have been making pasta dishes at home as they are quick, delicious and easy to make. Sweet corn and cheese pasta is just a perfect dish you can prepare and Little A is a big fan 🍝

Lunchbox today is about Nutella and Raw Papaya! Two ingredients that I simply love 💕 and can't live without 🤷

👉 For breakfast, it's Oats Pancake with Nutella 🥞 Made with 100% oats flour, these eggless pancakes are delicious. You can serve them with with chocolate sauce, maple syrup, honey and Nutella of course🍯! I made oats pancakes and spread the nutella generously. I can already see the big smile on Little As face when she opens up her breakfast box 😋

👉 Dryfruits for the extra power and energy!

👉 For lunch, it's Raw papaya Paratha with curd. This is one of the first recipes that I had learned from my Mom. We used to get a lot of raw papaya in our garden, and my mom used to make innovative stuff with them. From salads to soups to paratha, this is one ingredient that I simply love. With amazing health benefits, this is one ingredient that you should introduce to your child.
For the filling, I used grated papaya, a tea spoon of grated ginger and chopped coriander leaves. You can use green chillies too, but I haven't used them for Little A.
For the paratha, roll out two chappatis. Spread the filling on one and cover it with the other rolled out chappati. Seal the edges with a fork and then fry it on the pan like a normal paratha. This way the filling stays intact and doesn't come out.

👉 For fruits, it's pear 🍐 and pomegranate.

Lunchbox today is about Celebrating Monday Blues 💙
We had a great weekend and Little A is all chirped up to celebrate friendship day with her friends at school.
.
👉 For breakfast, it's sewai upma/vermicelli upma. A very popular South Indian Breakfast dish. Little A loves all the varieties of upma and I love them too as they are very quick to prepare and also very delicious. Filled with vegetables they make a meal by itself!
.
👉 For lunch, it's Methi thepla with dry baby potatoes bhaji.  For the thepla, I have used wheat flour, a spoon of gram flour, chopped fenugreek leaves and other spices. The real secret of mouth-watering taste of methi theplas prepared with this recipe lies in making the perfect dough. The right balance of all the ingredients makes it just melt in the mouth. For the baby potatoes, I used mustard oil, added panch poran spices, some chopped onions and boiled baby potatoes. For the spices I used dry red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder, and salt as per taste. Once ready, I added in loads of chopped coriander. This tastes yummmm and can be eaten with parathas or rice.

👉 For fruits, it's pomegranate. Little A is fond of them and also likes calling them red pearls!

Lunch today is about Paneer and Macaroni! Both of Little A's favourite and Fridays is about giving what she loves the most.

👉 For breakfast, it's Desi style Macaroni. This is something we all have tried as per our own versions. Little A loves the cheesy Mac and also the desi one. I used chopped onions, tomato and desi masalas for this. Simple, tasty and yummy.
👉 Dry fruits for munching.

👉 For lunch, it's Paneer Cutlet Wrap. Wraps are my all time go to meal and perfect for tiffin boxes. The tongue tickling paneer cutlets wrapped in chapati or paratha is a treat to taste buds at anytime anywhere. I have used grated paneer, potato, onions, chopped coriander and a spoon of sattu for binding for the cutlets. Making stuffed paneer cutlets wraps is easy. Step 1 is to make the cutlets. Step 2 is to make the paratha or chapati for wrap. Step 3 is to spread some ketchup or mayonnaise on the paratha. Place the Cutlets and roll.

Lunchbox today is Delicious and Energy packed. Little A is a big fan of colourful food and I love to take advantage of this 😂 This is the best way to experiment and add all the lovely veggies in her food!

👉 For breakfast, it's Masala Spinach Idli with ghee and podi. Little A loves idli with ghee and can eat it any time of the day. I added spinach puree in the batter and it really turned out good. Happy baby and happy mumma 😊
👉 Dry fruits for extra zing and power. Almonds, raisins, cashew and walnuts! Most of the kids are not very fond of dry fruits but try incorporating that in their diet. If they don't like eating it directly, make a powder and add it to their meals. Believe me, it really works.

👉 For lunch, its Besan ka Cheela. Besan ka cheela or gram flour pancakes is a definite go to meal any time of the day. It's sure to satisfy your appetite and taste buds. A simple pancake recipe with besan combined with chopped onions, tomato🍅, grated carrots🥕, and loads of chopped coriander. Protein packed, taste delicious and are super quick to make. Little A is not very fond of besan, but she loves it this way.
👉 Kiwi 🥝 and Pear 🍐 for snacking.
