We are not what we take ourselves to be.
That is only our conditioning.
All things that are conditioned are subject to change.
But habits are hard to break.
We pursue pleasure and avoid pain.
We fail to see that pleasure and pain are two sides of the same coin. 
There is a middle ground.
Some call it joy,
Others contentment,
I call it peace.
Peace is not a conditioned state.
It is the realization of the unconditional presence which all conditioning arises from.
Suffering is habitual.
It arises based in certain conditions.
It takes time to break this habit.
To re condition oneself to see things as they truly are.
So it takes patience,
It takes gentleness,
It takes kindness,
And it takes consistency.
The supreme goal is Union with ones true nature,
With our God given inheritance,
And an end to all unnecessary suffering.
The primary goal that reaches to the supreme is self-love.
Through self-love,
One comes to know what is harmful and what is helpful to oneself on this journey.
To over exert yourself trying to dash foward to finish line,
One causes more harm then good.
So take your time.
Know that those that do good receive good.
Those that take care of their selves and others,
Are taken care of.
Let that be your first practice(sadhana).
Karma Yoga.
Study a range of different scriptures and writings on spirituality.
Study your own thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations.
Make the goal of Peace your life pursuit.
But take your time.
Be gentle.
Be patient.
Have faith in the process itself.
If your intention is pure you will see your goal.
Observe the ups and downs of your own practice.
Work with the Universal flow,
The flow of nature,
And yourself.
Have faith in the process

It’s easy to see a photo, ONE photo, to summarise a moment & make a snap judgement or write it off 😒meh...poser!
👉🏻We see so many beautiful images on social media of truly amazing sights & talented photographers capturing inspiring nature, art & models...
👉🏻This isn’t that, I can tell you now!
This is me, learning about photography & editing, its all new & exciting AND this is me exploring in Scotland after spotting this 👌🏼 little blue gate whilst walking the dogs....I had to go back & play around with the canon on a tripod using continuous photo & run back & forth experimenting. I was alone at the time. Cars were passing by, wondering what was going on no doubt, but I continued & was grateful at the running back & forth to the camera as it’s SO cold in Scotland this winter!❄️
Anyway, seeing as it’s Yoga that I teach & Yoga that I love....it’s Yoga that I practice & this Asana turned out with not a perfect, but a pleasing, vaguely symmetrical leg to drain pipe thing going on, that I enjoy, plus it was a beautiful surrounding & the colours 💙💚💛
This challenging moment of freezing my nips off in Scotland, running back & forth like a nutter all in aid of exploring & learning was a great moment!
I find, Practicing Yoga outside, much more challenging to find my balance, open up the body when it's cold & try and creatively match asana to the surroundings in some sort of way but this is where it all derived from, nature & postures of animals (not drain pipes, noted)🤣
✨Did you know there's 8.4 million Asana (postures) derived from that many species. Phenominal!✨
But it's not really about how it looks at all, what REALLY matters is what this moment taught me - that I can find some breath when it's challenging & cold & i’m alone, in life & there's no goal or perfection required...just good experience, learning, feeling & opening my heart.....

This Weeks Yoga Theme! 
I am Enough. Three little words , with such a big meaning. Many times in my life I have felt inadequate in some way. Who hasn't, right? 
This now brings us to SANTOSHA, the Sanskrit word meaning contentment or gratitude.  Patanjali who is the father of  modern yoga, gave us an 8-limbed path – a set of yamas (the don’ts/restraints) and niyamas (the do’s/rules). One of the niyamas is santosha – contentment/gratitude. 
Rather than wishing for things to be different in your life, accept and appreciate the reality of what is. ❤️Try it. ❤️Say it out loud. ❤️I AM ENOUGH!
