It’s all my fault. I am such an idiot.

I DM’d a fellow business woman this morning, who’s biz is exploding right now. I asked how her how things were going and how she had known it was time to expand.
.
She replied that these are the things she helps her clients with and didn’t feel comfortable coaching me for free.
.
Woah.
.
That was NOT my intentions at all. I was genuinely taking an interest in her success. I have been social media friends with her for a while, we’ve chatted before, I respect her, and was attempting to celebrate her success with her! But that is not how she perceived it.
.
The old me would have felt HORRIBLE. I would have cried. I would have felt stupid, over analyzing what I said and blaming myself for saying things the wrong way.
.
Thankfully, I have grown exponentially as a person. I am in a place where I am confident in myself, my actions, and my words. And most importantly, I know that I can’t control how other people perceive things!
.
I am not in any way blaming or shaming this amazing woman. I still hold the utmost respect for her and still celebrate her success! We are all shaped by our experiences, and those things dictate our perceptions. Myself included.
.
But I am so grateful that I have worked so much on my mindset, and have grown so much confidence, that I am secure in the things I say and do. I don’t feel guilty anymore. I don’t feel stupid anymore.
.
I am who I am, and my people will get me. Anyone that doesn’t get me? They are simply not my people! And that’s ok.
.
Life gets to be amazing. You get to be unapologetically you. You get to speak your truth, and not water it down for the benefit of others. You get to always FEEL amazing.
Got back at it today!

Sometimes it’s ok to need some time “off”.
.
The key is to make sure it’s temporary, and that you’re feeling into your soul to determine if it’s laziness, or an actual need to focus your energy somewhere else for a bit.
.
And then you get back at it!

I am not important. I do not matter.

I can’t spend time on myself, I have to do all the things for the kids.
.
These things used to be my internal dialogue. I know it happens to you too. Why do we allow ourselves to feel guilty for taking an hour for some self care? Why do we feel guilty for doing a workout?
.
I used to feel guilty too, so I know where you are coming from. I get it. But there came a day where I had to really look inwardly and reflect on that. Am I the kind of woman that wants to look like she doesn't’ care about herself? Do I want to look frumpy, tired, and lacking confidence?
.
NO. That is NOT what I want.
.
I am the type of woman that LOVES to dress in cute clothes and look put together, even if it’s just to the grocery store.
.
I am the type of woman that ALWAYS does my hair and makeup because it makes me feel good.
.
I am the type of woman that wants to RADIATE confidence and self love.
.
“Messy hair don’t care” is the worst slogan ever. I WANT TO CARE. I want to set an example to my DAUGHTER that we SHOULD care about ourselves. Not in a vanity way, but in a way that reflects the positive beliefs we have about ourselves.
.
I believe that when we think we look good, we feel good. And when we feel good, we do good.
.
Taking care of myself, CARING about myself, is exactly HOW I am able to be a great wife and mother. It’s HOW I get so much accomplished every day. It’s HOW I have so much energy to do all the things.
.
The biggest way to take care of yourself and show your kids that you CARE about yourself as much as them?
.
Taking control of your health.
.
It’s time to stop guilting yourself out of taking action. It’s time you stop LYING to yourself. You absolutely matter. You do want to care. You want to feel amazing, have energy and confidence. I know you hate yourself when you look in the mirror (or, you just avoid them completely).

It’s time for you to step up and take some control back. It’s time to take that scary action.

I haven’t worked out much in the last 2 weeks. And I haven’t ate according to my meal plan either.
.
I am a high energy, high performing and positive person. I not only look that way online, but that is truly how I live my life. I am “on” all the time. Husband, kids, girl scouts, church, basketball, full time job, certified fitness coaching business, household chores… the list is never ending.
.
But I am human. And that means that sometimes, I need to turn “off”.
.
There are times where it’s turning off all the way, and there are times where it’s turning off in some areas so I can redirect that energy to other areas without over exerting myself.
.
This is where I am right now.
.
In addition to my normal crazy life, I also have a couple of friends going through some pretty heavy stuff. I have family that is going through some pretty heavy stuff. I’ve had a sick toddler.
.
Just like you, I sometimes have things start to pile up. And sometimes it means I need to take a step back and redirect for a little while.
.
I had to listen to my mind. My soul. It needed me to not workout for a while, or stress about my meal plan. That energy needed to be redirected. So I listened.
.
The difference between this me and the old me, is that now I know it’s OK to do that. I know it’s not always an “all or nothing” road to success.
.
Just because I’ve missed some workouts, or had some pizza and beer doesn’t mean I am a failure or have somehow messed up and need to start over another time.
.
This is what TRUE harmony between life and weight loss looks like.
.
It’s knowing how to listen to yourself, and how to have discernment between laziness and an actual need to redirect your energy. And most importantly, I know i have the tools, resources, and knowledge to ensure I stay on track overall, and continue to have the massive success I deserve.

I remember seeing a really cute outfit. It was stylish, fun, and sexy but classy. I muttered out loud that it was cute, and that I wish I could wear something like that.

My husband told me I should wear it if I liked it. Immediately I was like “I can’t wear that, I’m a mom!”. And walked away. I told myself I couldn’t wear things like that.

That’s who I was for a while. I was a mom that felt like I wasn’t supposed to care about cute clothes, or having a good hair style, or fussing about makeup.

Because when you are a mom, you are supposed to just be a mess all the time, right? That’s what everyone says. No shower for days, no makeup, messy hair…

But then I started to care.

I love the way it makes me feel. The energy I get from being “ready” for the day, looking fabulous. I love being the woman at the gym that’s hitting the weights instead of the treadmill.

Living this way makes me feel CONFIDENT. It feeds my SOUL. I have so much energy and drive. My routine keeps me sane. THIS is the life that I have built. These habits and routines.

Sometimes I ignore my meal plan and eat French fries.

When I first started box jumps, I wasn’t even using a box because I was too scared 🙈 I was jumping on a stair.

I’ve been practicing, moving higher and higher.

Today, I cleared 18 inches! You can see where I’m nervous to start. Then I do it! I conquer it. I get more confident.
.
Then, my confidence drops a little as my legs start to burn and fatigue 😂😂
.
You don’t learn and you don’t grow unless you push yourself outside of your comfort zone - CONSISTENTLY.

As soon as you get comfortable, it’s time to change.
