Once again our Year 13 students have produced an excellent set of A Level results with 44% at A* and A grades and 71% of exams passed at A* – B or Pre-U equivalent. 23% of students gained A* or A grades in 3 or more subjects.
Geography, French and Latin are celebrating a pass rate of 100% at A* and A. Maths and Psychology have 50% of all exams at A* and A grades with 100% of Economics and Physics exams at A* to B grades.
Continuing our run of Oxbridge places Lizzie D has secured a place at St John's, Oxford to read Classics and particular mention should go to Alana G who achieved three A*s in Business Studies, Psychology and Geography. Vicky Z’s two A*s and A has won her a highly competitive place to read Maths at Imperial College, London. Our excellent record in Veterinary Science continues with three pupils winning places at the prestigious Veterinary school at Bristol.
This year over half of the A Levels courses returned to a linear programme, meaning there is only one examination window for the two year course. So the students' achievements are all the more commendable given these significant changes. Congratulations to all of our Year 13. #ls

Well done Elektra C who competed at the Area 14 Tetrathlon qualifier last week. A good shoot, swim and hot run set her up for the cross-country. Sadly her horse went lame so she competed on one she has not ridden before! A super round brought her home 2nd Area Junior Girl and qualifies her for the Pony Club Tetrathlon championships in August! #ls

Year 11 and 12 students and staff attended the prestigious Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition which showcases cutting-edge science and technology research. Students talked to the scientists to understand more about their fascinating work and many exhibits were 'hands-on'. The exhibition explored (this is not an exhaustive list) the latest research into climate science; new imaging techniques in cancer treatment; how to make a supernova and how to measure gravitational waves. It was an intensive but rewarding day full of inspiration! #ls
Congratulations to the Year 12 and 13 students for their excellent results in the prestigious and highly competitive Cambridge Chemistry Challenge and RSC International Chemistry Olympiad. Both challenges involve written papers designed to challenge students more than standard A level questions. Krstyna S took a Gold Award in the Cambridge Challenge, and Li Ming F and Vicky S won Copper. In the Chemistry Olympiad congratulations go to Elizabeth H and Eunice L for their Copper awards #ls
