Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature Men's Summit for staff members.
The speakers from all the 3 District Municipalities and 17 local municipalities have joined the Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature Ms Thandi Shongwe for the re-launch of the @MPLegislature Speakers Forum. This follows the election of new speakers in the municipalities which emanated from the recent 2016 local government. The Speakers will discuss on how to intensify and strengthen their constitutional mandate of law-making, oversight and public involvement

The Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature; Hon BT Shongwe took time to address the management strategic planning session on 02 November 2016. In her address she emphasised the following important points that will contribute to the institution's vision of a people centred African World class Legislature: serious commitment and dedication  to serving the legislature, proper planning of work as management to lead subordinates properly; continue the culture of being a catalyst institution where local and international institutions learn from; being open to learning from others regardless of their positions; give space to be led and learn from other employees and encouraged the closing of the gap between all levels of management to boost the smooth flow of the work of the legislature.

Today, the Portfolio Committee  of Education, Sports, Culture and Recreation led by the Chairperson of the Committee, Hon VVZ  Windvoël are conducting oversight  at the University of Mpumalanga in Mbombela.
