But seriously, I can't stress enough the need for runners to do strength activities! Strength classes make us fitter and faster, and they're a fun change from the monotony of running. That's my #runcoach spiel for the day. 😁 What's your favorite exercise move? .

Post workout smoothie bowl to refuel πŸ’ͺ🌱 6.15 mi easy run (legs felt reeeeal junky at first but then settled into it) + @edgeathletelounge strength class at Walsh park with @coach.robyn. Now some boots and #plantprotein to recover and refuel for a bike commute to work and run number two this afternoon. Wednesday's are long so I need to make sure I'm eating right to have energy throughout the day. .

Recipe:
1 red packet of @leapsmoothies 
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 cup frozen #beets 
1/2 cup frozen tart cherries πŸ’ 
Blend well and top with banana, blueberries and cinnamon .

15g protein, 45 g carbs, 5g fat and tons of potassium, vitamin C and iron. A great #healthybreakfast for an active athlete .

It's actually a super cool space where @belleontheroe sells these amazingly comfortable, fun and #fashionable clothes! πŸ‘—πŸ‘šπŸ‘– Tonight she and a friend hosted and event that was all about body positivity and treating yourself right. We all need more positivity and self-love in our lives, so a night of dress up and drinks was a perfect idea πŸ₯‚

Confession: I love hill repeats. I welcome them as an opportunity to get stronger. I know my race will have a LOT of elevation so every time I do a stair or hill repeat I know I am putting money in my training bank and will cash in big on race day. That change in perspective makes them so much easier πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ
