Last night, more than 4,000 people sought refuge from #HurricaneMichael in nearly 70 #RedCross & community evacuation centers in #Florida, #Georgia & #Alabama. The devastation left after Michael made landfall today, will likely cause many others to seek safety, shelter, food & comfort from the Red Cross in the days and weeks to come.

Currently, the Red Cross has more than 500 trained disaster workers on their way to the region to join the Red Cross volunteers already in place.

As the East Coast continues to prepare for the arrival of Hurricane #Florence, North Texans are stepping up to help.

Across the country, more than 700 #RedCross disaster workers are heading into the impacted regions, including 27 from #NTX. Response vehicles, equipment & additional relief supplies have also been sent.
