We enjoyed our Sunday afternoons this March working on our Pilates Mat. 💜this group of fun, hardworking and dedicated ladies. We focused even more this month on finding strength from the deep Abdominal muscles-hello powerhouse! In our Pilates class, we work all of the muscles together- arms, inner thighs, glutes, abs.... We also get some help from our friends with assists on Teaser. (Swipe left to see some of the exercises we've worked on this month 👍)

This class is beginner friendly and drop ins are welcome 😉Checkout the Magic Circle being used for Cork Screw in the first picture. I love how the Magic Circle helps you activate the inner thighs and pull into the core. -------------------------------------------------April class dates: 2nd, 9th, 23rd and 30th. Variations of the Side Series from the Pilates Mat for #marchmatness. A great set of exercises for working the gluts, inner thighs, hip flexors, and obliques. *Tips: Be careful to keep your hips stacked and the front of the ribs pulled tight together. Try to avoid moving the torso (you can see I'm trying to work on that in the first video 😉) I always include videos 1,2 and 4, but then I'll alternate between other variations of the Side Series. There are several others I didn't show this time. ---------------------------------
1️⃣Front/Back- 5 sets  2️⃣Up/Down- 5 sets  3️⃣Inner Thigh Lifts- 6 to 10 sets (I added some small circles here also)  4️⃣Small Circles- 3 and Reverse.  5️⃣Heel Beats (used to transition to other side)- 2 sets of 10. For an added challenge, also shown is this exercise with knees bent and thighs slightly lifted. Truly a work in progress for me and I see so many parts to this exercise I want to work on, but that's life, right? Loved working on Saw today from the Pilates Mat with this awesome group. This is one of my favorite exercises. A perfect example of the stretch and strength you'll find in Pilates. Saw is a great exercise to stretch the hamstrings, open the chest and shoulders, and work the obliques and powerhouse. Come join us next Sunday at 2:45.
