So last night I decided to make a list of all the books I'm excited to read in the new year. I discovered that a lot of releases are around the corner πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ˜ My most anticipated books are:

1. Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas.
2. King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo.
3. Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian (Ash Princess book 2 πŸ™ŒπŸΌ)
4. The Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli.
5. Evermore by Sara Holland.

What books are you looking out for? // the book in my picture is Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian - book review available online - link in bio βœ”οΈ

I have a new #bookreview available on the blog: The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I know I was late to this series but that's what I love about bookstagram - you can read a book years later and you'll still find new and old readers ready to discuss a series.

I'll be reviewing the rest of the books next week. The first book wasn't my favorite but it set a foundation - and introduced me to some of my favorite characters of all time ❀️. // Link in bio βœ”οΈ
"For the briefest moment, Ulla despised Signy, as we can only hate those who rescue us from loneliness." - The Language of Thorns, Leigh Bardugo ❀️ /// This is one of my favorite Leigh Bardugo quotes of all time. When I read it months ago, it hit me at the right moment in my life. I just finished Ruin and Rising, and now I'm more in love with the Grisha Universe. I can't wait for King of Scars. This world is stunning 😍

PS, I reviewed this book on my blog a while ago. Link in bio.
What is you favorite quote?

I have been waiting to announce something for the longest time and I just can't wait anymore. I will be uploading a detailed post on the blog but right now, I get to share this:

I AM GOING TO BE A PANELIST AT THE SOUTH AFRICAN BOOK FAIR πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I still don't have my time slot (which is why I haven't announced it) but I know it will take place the Friday, 7 September and I'll be discussing Teen Blogging πŸ™ƒ

The book fair is taking place in Newtown, Johannesburg, from 7 - 9 September!

Who is all joining the fair?

I've been completely distracted by work lately but I'm so thankful because this is my last month with so much on my plate. I'm hoping to have a simpler September - where there's time for more reading πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I've been bitten by the reading bug for sure and I'm literally speeding through the #GrishaTrilogy right now. I have SO MUCH to say about this series. I'll hopefully start the final book tonight πŸ‘πŸ½ I can't believe it's taken me this long! How many of you waited forever to read a series and can't believe it took you that long?

Have you ever received bookmail, not expecting much, then BOOM, one of the most anticipated books of the year is in your hands?! Because that happened to me when I received War Storm by Victoria Aveyard 😭 |

I wasn't expecting this book AT ALL - I don't even have Kings Cage yet - and there it all its beauty ❀️ Let me just say, this book is a beast. I'm still waiting for King's Cage to arrive but in the meantime, I'll just stare longingly.

Who finished the Red Queen series?

Thank you @jonathanballkids for this beautiful surprise πŸ‘πŸ½
Hello world!

How is everyone's week going so far? I literally cannot wait for the weekend. This week has been CRAZY and I just want to have a Harry Potter movie marathon, read Throne of Glass and sleep.
I know its not weekend yet but what do you guys have planned for the weekend? What are you reading?

These are just some lovely books I received from Pan Macmillan Publishers ❀️ I've already reviewed Everless on my blog but I haven't started Cuckoo Song yet. Has anyone read it? I've heard about Frances Hardinge and they're all good things.

Check out the #Everless review - link in bio!
most importantly love
like it's the only thing you know how
at the end of the day all this
means nothing
this page
where you're sitting
your degree
your job
the money
nothing even matters
except love and human connection
who you loved
and how deeply you loved them
how you touched the people around you
and how much you gave them

Rupi Kaur, Milk and Honey ❀️ _

Hello world,

My apologies for the small absence. I decided to take this week off because I started a new job and wanted to make sure that I give my work the full attention it needs.

I haven't been reading as much. I literally got three chapters into #ThroneofGlass 😭 before work got hold of me. But I've been finding my inspiration in Milk & Honey. New journeys often scare me and leave me anxious but I'm coping so far 😊 - what is your favorite Rupi Kaur quote?

I have been waiting to share my thoughts on this book for over a week. I'm going to need more people to geek out with me πŸ‘πŸ½ The full book review is available on the blog: LINK IN BIO βœ”οΈ // "I was a princess made of ashes; there is nothing left of me to burn. Now it's time for a queen to rise." - Laura Sebastian,Β Ash Princess πŸ‘‘

Follow the #AshPrincessBlogTour for more. Let me know what you think!

For about 10 months, I've been searching for a more solid job and I finally got confirmation this morning. It has all the perks I've been looking for and I get to write all day πŸ‘πŸ½ - BTW, I studied journalism so I'm actually a writer by day, blogger by night πŸ™ƒ

For a while, my life seemed to stand still and I finally feel like things are moving along. The best part? I will still have time to work on my blog because it's home based 😍

Thank God for all the blessings.

This week has honestly felt like a dream. Got so much work done, been productive on my blog and tomorrow I get to kick start the #AshPrincessBlogTour πŸ™ŒπŸΌ don't miss out on my review: it will be available on the blog tomorrow! ❀️ Ps, I have more news coming soon. I just have to practice patience before I let the world know.

My family and I are obsessed with Hug in a Mug. We literally argue about who gets the last cappuccino πŸ˜‚ I am loving the new Creamy Cappuccino, which is odd because I don't really drink regular cappuccino flavor.
They're perfect for cold, winter days β˜•

What is your favorite flavor?

I've finally decided to re-read #TheThroneofGlass series, all in preparation for the final book, #KingdomofAsh πŸ™πŸΌ I joined @moonlight_books read-a-long (thanks to and I'm only starting on Saturday. But no worries, there is no pressure to catch up just yet.

The best part is, you also stand the chance of winning a copy of Kingdom of Ash πŸ™ŒπŸΌβ€οΈ Who joined a Throne of Glass read-a-long ahead of the final book?
