I'M SO EXCITED THAT I FINALLY GET TO PARTICIPATE IN ONE OF THESE. πŸ’•

Through the month of February, my library is doing Blind Date With a Book, and today I finally perused the books and picked one out myself! I wanted to pick something totally different from what I've been reading and that, judging by the blurb, seemed like it would be lot of fun. I absolutely love the idea behind Blind Date with a Book. It's a great way to discover new books that you might not otherwise have picked up and is such a fun surprise once you find out what book you've picked. β€’

It's Valentines Day this week, so what better time to read this adorable collection of "how they met" stories, the first time couples meet before they fall in love.

It's funny, I'm not always super into romances, and I've always been one to say that romance shouldn't dictate how happy you are or how worthwhile your life is. But I really like the idea about this anthology, of giving us a glimpse only into the first moments when two people meet, before the relationship begins. Because sometimes it's those first impressions of each other that are the most worthwhile. β€’

(Also sorry in advanced that I have not updated on here in SO long. My mental health has nottttt been the best lately. But I hope this bright and cheerful post makes up for some of that. ❀️)

I think it goes without saying: Whatever your plans or relationship status, I hope everyone has a wonderful week, and just know that you are AWESOME. πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ’›

A peaceful morning with a book and hot chocolate, featuring my favorite Harry Potter mug. Look at my adorable children. β˜ΊοΈπŸ’›

I don't think I've properly introduced the bookmail I received earlier this week! πŸ’•

One of my reading goals for 2018 is to read more middle grade novels, and I thought these two books were a very good place to start. I'm honestly SO, so excited to read both of these very soon. The stories seem so fun and whimsical...plus, you can't deny that these covers are GORGEOUS. I can't stop looking at them...
This has been my day today: lighting a candle, being cozy in bed, and deciding which book to read next (jk I totally know which book I'm reading). I love calm days like this sometimes. πŸ’›
Was looking at my Instagram and realized I never posted a photo of MY FIRST EVER OWLCRATE BOX! πŸ“¦πŸŽ„β„οΈ Good thing I realized on the most perfect of days, Day One of Owlcrate's January photo challenge! πŸ˜‰ β€’

I've always wanted to try out @owlcrate, and December was the perfect month to order my first box, since it felt like a christmas gift to myself! It was so fun unwrapping all of these little bookish items, and there were so many in this box that I loved. My favorites, hands down, were the Everything, Everything christmas ornament and the book planner. 😊
Also, I love the book that came in December's box! I've been yearning for a light YA contemporary, and Foolish Hearts sounds like just the book I would enjoy, so I'm really, really looking forward to reading it soon!
Guess what came in the mail today..! My copy of The Hazel Wood, which I won through a Goodreads giveaway! I am a very happy bookworm right now. πŸ’›πŸ“– Thank you so, SO much to both Goodreads and Flat Iron Books for gifting me a copy of this wonderful book. I'm so excited to read it soon!
Sweaters and books are what make the fall season. πŸπŸ‚πŸ“–

I've been wanting to do this ~fall aesthetic bookstagram post for ages. These are my all-time favorite posts on bookstagram, and while I'm nowhere near at expert level yet, this was still fun to try out. Sorry for the serious lack of updates! I've been going through books like crazy and haven't actually stopped to take the time to be very active on my social media. But I hope you are all enjoying the fall season. β€’

If you want a book recommendation, Wicked Like a Wildfire is a great fantasy novel to read during fall. The writing is so gorgeous and lush, and you will fall deeply in love with the story. Also, it's basically the spring version of Frozen...what more could you ask for!
I love when I walk into my library and peruse the "for sale" shelf, only to unexpectedly see a book that's on my TBR. πŸ’›πŸ“– β€’

This was such a pleasant surprise! I'm SO happy that I decided to go to the library today, and I'm even more excited to read this book, which I've been hearing endless good things about. Even better, I only had to pay $1 for thisβ€”in change, no less!
One of my favorite things about buying from Book Depository are the free bookmarks. I especially love this one that I got with my copy of Strange the Dreamer...perfect for Halloween!
Two editions, one fantastic story.

I was reading the U.S. edition of this book, but I don't think I'll be able to finish it by the time the library wants it back. I already love this story so much and have so much faith in this book, plus I love the U.K. edition, so I decided to buy it off of Book Depository! Needless to say, I do not regret my purchase. I mean...LOOK AT IT. πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™
