Austin- you have been so wonderful to the cast and crew of “An American in Paris!” For many members of our company, this has been their first visit to our beloved city and they have been RAVING! From a party barge on Lake Travis to cooling off at Barton Springs...check out all of the amazing adventures we’ve had this week! Thank you for making our work week feel like a vacation! #parisontour #broadwayinaustin #bartonsprings #laketravis #mtbonnell #congressbridgebats #aaip
FUN FACT! In addition to being from Austin and growing up here, this is my second time performing on the stage at Bass Concert Hall! The last time I did so was in 1995 in @balletaustin’s production of “The Nutcracker!” I played a mouse! 😂🐭🧀
Did you know that the company of “An American in Paris” performs the show 8 times per week? That’s a lot of dancing! Our schedule is quite rigorous and requires extensive personal and professional TLC! Many of our dancers take ballet daily at local studios/schools around the country! In addition to dance training, we always hit the gym, do yoga, explore the outdoors, and stay fit in a variety of other ways! We also travel with an exceptional Physical Therapist that aids with optimizing performance and preventing injuries. And don’t forget lots of healthy eating, foam rolling, stretching, icing, and sleep! #parisontour #neurotour @americaninparis #broadwayinaustin @balletaustin
Our fabulous cast is ready to head into show #2 on this gorgeous Saturday in ATX! Who’s joining us tonight for our 8pm performance?
Here’s a fun time-lapse peek into how the ladies get ready for the show! Pin curls, wig caps, make-up, etc! Did you know many of the women wear their microphones in their wigs? It allows us to dance more freely and comfortably without a mic pack on our bodies. Enjoy! #parisontour #broadwayinaustin #aaip
