Happy book birthday, Michelle Obama 👑❤️🎉! Brave the rain - who’s afraid of a little rain? (Oh, right 😒) - and come get your copy. While you’re here, enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake from Reese Witherspoon’s cookbook - part of our ongoing #tuesdaytasting from 11 am to 1 pm 🍰☕️
While I’m on a cleaning kick...I really appreciate the way these Saturday morning sunbeams accentuate the dust motes ✨🙄😬
I recently cleaned my office and now I just want to sit by the window and read.
We are excited to announce 🌈STORY TIME WITH TALIA❣️ Toddlers and preschool-age children and their caregivers are invited to join Talia for stories and songs (with puppets!) every Thursday morning at 10:30. Upstairs in the children’s section. See you tomorrow! 🐹🎉🎈📚🐙💜
It’s our first #TuesdayTasting - go #vote and then reward and/or fortify yourself on this #ElectionDay with samples from this week’s featured cookbook, #NewEnglandInvite

Less daylight, but today was all about quality over quantity.
What are you reading on this rainy November Saturday morning? 🌫🌧🌫
Happy Halloween! We loved seeing everyone’s adorable costumes this afternoon, including four-legged friends like Vincent van 🐐! 🎃🧡
It’s one of our favorite times of the year! The abundantly talented families at the @mv_public_charter_school have created delightful folk figures for local businesses, and we’re lucky enough to be graced with the presence of the ever elegant Zora Neale Hurston (made by students Zora and Olive and their families. Thank you!).
Good morning! Brrrr! I think it’s officially Read-by-the-Fire Season, wouldn’t you say? I’m looking forward to cozying up with SCRIBE by Alyson Hagy.
The country has been ravaged by war and disease, and the economy has been reduced to barter and trade. The central character lives on a lonely farmstead, where she makes inks and papers and masters letter writing, which she exchanges for tobacco, firewood, and other resources. “An unusual request for a letter from a man with hidden motivations unleashes the ghosts of her troubled past and sets off a series of increasingly calamitous events that culminate in a harrowing journey to a crossroads.
Drawing on traditional folktales and the history and culture of Appalachia, Alyson Hagy has crafted a gripping, swiftly plotted novel that touches on pressing issues of our time—migration, pandemic disease, the rise of authoritarianism—and makes a compelling case for the power of stories to both show us the world and transform it.” ✍️ @graywolfpress
🚨OMGOMGOMG⚡️⚡️⚡️ I know what I’ll be reading this weekend. What’s on your TBR list? #atribecalledquest
