At a dinner hosted by the Royal Society for the Blind on World Sight Day - with Lulu the new guide dog!

This is the annual day to focus attention on blindness and vision impairment. The RSB do a great job helping people in SA.
My 11th and biggest ever Seniors Forum today at Seaford. Thank you to the 200 residents who came this morning and to our special guest speaker Keith Conlon to talk about his role as Chair of the SA Heritage Council.

A very interesting discussion about protecting our heritage and SA’s rich history. Thank you also to the many government and NGO service providers who came to give information to residents.
With the Labor team and the award winning Karyn Robeson from Uniting SA at the opening of Mental Health Week today.

Congratulations Kez on your 2018 Lived Experience Award and all your work to help people across SA!

Important message here in Parliament today 🍓🍓🍓 Let’s support our strawberry farmers - cut them up don’t cut them out!

A pleasure to meet these hard working nurses who are facing privatisation through the Marshall Cuts Budget at today’s protest.
Privatising prison health services will only push those problems on to public hospitals and make issues at emergency departments worse.
Thanks to the 300 people who took part in the Onkaparinga Seaside Walk for Suicide Prevention & Awareness!

This important walk from South Port to Moana is to acknowledge those we have sadly lost, raise money for mental health education and to help raise awareness in the community of what we can all to do prevent suicide.
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day - a day for us all to reflect on how we can help our family and friends and be part of a connected safe community.
Thanks to the organisations involved in the walk Rotary Club of Seaford, headspace Onkaparinga, Let's Talk Onkaparinga, Moana Surf Life Saving Club, Amanda Rishworth MP
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The Governor tonight held an official reception for the top supporters of Childhood Cancer Association.

One of the biggest fundraisers in SA is Mark and OnkaStompa Fishing Comp in the South who each year raise tens of thousands of dollars for research, treatment and support.
Thank you Mark for your hard work and for everyone who volunteers and contributes to help beat cancer affecting our kids.
