The Wilkes University spring commencement was held on at the university’s McHale Athletic Center. University President Patrick Leahy congratulated students as they walked in. It was Leahy’s last commencement as president of Wilkes.

A native of the Mountain Top  area, it has been nearly 70 years since he last visited Luzerne County. Harvey was invited by the community group Mountaintop on the Move.
