At Coe we value the energy and entertainment the visual and performing arts bring to campus. Prospective students who share this passion are encouraged to interview/audition for a Visual & Performing Arts Scholarship in art, film studies, music or theatre arts.
Through dance, music and more, the Coe community will celebrate the talents and culture of our students from around the world during the 44th Annual Culture Show.

DJ Stanec '18 from Colorado Springs, Colorado participated in a six week archaeological excavation over the summer focusing on Roman and Greek harbor remains with Assistant Project Director and Coe College Professor Ziskowski. The communication studies major explained, "The chance for any student to take part in an archaeological excavation is unbelievably rare. The chance for a student from a small, Liberal Arts college in Iowa is even more so. It still seems unreal when I realize I was holding pottery that predates Christ. The connections that Coe faculty are able to provide to students are amazing and they uncover opportunities for us literally across the world."
