Very impressed with the origami dragon our guests left us in their cottage today!
Greater spotted woodpecker sheltering from the rain on the feeder outside our cottages this afternoon.
Oh to make friends as easy as when you're 3...took our kids on a little cycle down to the river for a splash about with the dogs and met a family doing the same thing. Our girls are now firm friends having only met each other for a few seconds 😂
The smell of the lilies, lavender and freesia outside the cottages is divine at the moment. Perfect for enjoying while barbecuing or watching the birds in the garden 🌺
The beginnings of our new nature path up from the cottages, across over a stream and down to a secret waterfall 👀 watch this space for more updates as it progresses!
Picked up some pretty bits from @thedecoshopmach for the cottage gardens today 😍
Thank you so much to Trish and family for our pressies and thank you card, and your Facebook review: "Thank you Craig and Sarah for everything this week, we had a lovely time at Cwmbiga Cottages ... perfect location with fantastic walks from the door, i think it will take our 2 dogs a while to recover from all the time they spent exploring Hafren Forest. Thanks for all your recommendations on where to see and visit, you were fabulous hosts. We will be back very soon xx"

We are very happy you enjoyed your stay ❤
Stopping at the viewpoint between here and Machynlleth is a regular occurrence- doesn't matter what the weather is doing, it is always a breathtaking view.
Living near the Mach Loop means we quite often see low-flying jets overhead ✈ certainly brightens up your trip to the supermarket - swipe to see the video (sound on)!
Impromptu day trip to Welshpool - the main attraction for our toddlers being the train there from Caersws. A tiny station but a beautiful trip through the countryside followed by a walk along the canal 🦆
Alstroemeria with astrantia from our garden, eggs from our chickens and Welsh cakes to welcome our current human guests...plus two fresh cherries as a treat for our very first hamster guest 🐹
There's nothing like the Royal Welsh Show! This was the Sheeptacular - a show of the best of the breeds of sheep farmed in Wales 🐏
