My latest commission piece was this Eucalyptus OXO cube holder. Brief was to have four columns that were able to hold 12 cubes each. It is free standing, but drilled and corded ready for hanging on a wall too. It was a fun project albeit a bit time consuming due to having to mill down a thick board in to thinner pieces.

These accent lights were the perfect way to make use of some large crackled effect glass globes. The led lights are on thin copper wire so hold their shape inside the glass.
The bases have a neck turned on them to slot into the globe. One base is Bubinga, the other is Oak with an inner ring of iridescent paint splats.

Been meaning to do this since Christmas and finally got around to it. A relaxing way to spend a couple of afternoons, and a great way to give yourself wrist cramp! Pyrography on plywood, with a simple pine frame finished with a Van Dyke crystal wash.

Inspired by @dougoutside 's recent Canada Day video, this was a fun project to use up some very characterful boards salvaged from a pallet.

Experiment staining pallet wood with Van Dyke crystals and black shoe polish. The metal plaque was rescued from a pile of junk that was due to get thrown out.

I was given a large bundle of corkscrew hazel last year and since then have struggled to find any uses for it. This week I've been experimenting and having a lot of fun making these mystic mushrooms with it. They're also a great way to use scraps from other projects as they only require a small amount of wood.
