Ideas for surviving the last days of pregnancy

Since week 37 you’ve been thinking that it could happen at any time. But guess what? It didn’t. You’re overdue. Congratulations! You’re now part of the 5-to-10% of pregnant women who are constantly texting their partners ‘I think this is it!’ - but it isn’t.

Here’s a few things you can do to survive the next couple of days:

THE MOMENT he finally found out. I posted the full announcement video that me and my daughter made a couple of weeks ago, the link is in my bio. Special thanks to my baby girl for keeping that secret for two full weeks! ❤️❤️❤️ Everything about that day was perfectly imperfect (including the missing Grooms’s ring). 😂🤷🏼‍♀️
***I was the most nervous/terrified I have ever been in my whole life, and Momma was too shocked to put her plate down. 😂 #perfect #pregnancyannouncement @cute_pregnancy @pregnancybiz @pregnancygram_ @springsvenue

What was your first trimester 'epic fail'? Imagine coming back from a night out at 2 am, after an 8-hour work shift, after arriving on a 12-hour flight from Japan. That’s how tired most pregnant women feel every day in their first trimester.

According to the American Pregnancy Association, this extreme fatigue is caused by hormonal changes and the extra production of blood in order to carry nutrients to your growing baby.

But even if you feel like napping literally anywhere, life goes on. You have work to do, bills to pay, other kids to raise. So it's important to cut yourself some slack during this time of your life. If your performance is suffering, don't feel guilty. It’s OK to be a bit distracted. You’re growing a baby - that’s your biggest job ever.

And to help you let go of perfectionism, our team shared their 'epic fail' moments during their first trimester: "I booked my son's birthday party on the wrong date and didn't realise until after I already sent out all the invitations. I booked his due date instead of his birth date." "I left my husband’s suit on the train the night before his best mate’s wedding. I fell asleep on the way, and as the train stopped at our destination, I woke up a bit drowsy and forgot to bring his suit with me. The wedding was at midday the next day and he had to go to John Lewis in Watford to buy a new suit at 9 am." “My friend visited me in Budapest. His flight was arriving at 12am so I was expecting him in my place at 1-2am. I fell asleep at 9 pm, and was not able to hear 10 alarms. He spent the night in the streets, as he could not get into my place. In the morning, I had 25 missed calls on Skype, phone, WhatsApp.” #firsttrimester #epicfail #pregnancy #pregnancyfail #babybrain #pregnancybrainisreal #pregnancybrain
