“I needed to come back and get an education,” said Richard Gallaher. “I had street smarts, but not the education.” Richard, an army veteran, admittedly spent seven years largely removed from the world after receiving a difficult medical diagnosis in 2008. Following a ‘challenge’ to return to school from his brother, Richard enrolled at Delaware Tech. Now, Richard is taking human services classes, fulfilling an internship requirement, and working about 25 hours a week in various student affairs offices. After graduating, Richard would like to pursue a career developing accommodation plans for students with disabilities to enhance student success. Most importantly, thank you for your service! 🇺🇸#dtccpride #deltechmakesDE
History was made 🏥 To our newest graduates: In the words of @drmarkbrainard, "You are receiving your bachelor’s degree from an institution that’s known throughout this state as the one producing the best nurses. So not only are you part of a historic class, you are continuing a rich tradition of excellence and quality." Congratulations to the class of 2018! 🎓

“As a mother to four children, the scholarship helped me to afford to come back to school. Completing my degree has helped me to advance my career and improve my financial picture so I can take care of my family,” shared Rebecca Coleman, a general business and management student, planning to graduate in spring 2019. 🎓#dtccpride #deltechmakesde
