When it comes to injury risk mitigation, properly training you body is key for success.
_
🥐Train too hard and you’ll reduce your ability to recover, notice a decrease in your performance, and create an environment within your body that will increase your potential for injury.
_
🥖On the flip side, under-training or not training at all can cause weakness and decreased preparedness of your body to handle forces.
_
🥨This is why under-training, too can increase our risk of injury.  Injuries are caused by the force coming into the body exceeding what the body can produce.
_
🥞It is not a simple IG post that can teach us all how to live in the middle and train appropriately, but there are some signs to pay attention to to know if you’re on the right track.
_
🥝Under-training
1️⃣Your workouts are not challenging enough. If you would rate all of your workouts less than 7 out of 10 on a difficulty scale, it’s not enough to challenge your body.
2️⃣Are you making progress towards your goals? Are you getting stronger, faster, leaner? If not, you may need to work harder.
_
🥥Overtraining
1️⃣Are you continuing to make progress with your goals, or have you plateaued?
2️⃣How are your energy levels?  Are you constantly tired? Does your body feel heavy?
3️⃣Hows your mood? Are you more irritable then usual?
4️⃣These are all signs that you might be overtraining.
