Staff are settling into the first phase of the project, which provides a new work environment for 550 staff. Vibrancy levels of colour are gradually toned down through the team spaces to the calm library workplaces at the building perimeter.

Our Me + My Workplace tool was deployed along with departmental interviews and a series of staff workshops to establish the planning principles for the strategy. Flexible team neighbourhoods with non assigned desks are at the core of the solution, with a wide variety of formal and informal shared meeting spaces to support collaboration. A concept of activity mapping across the floor plates ensures that there are effective places for quieter, focused study.

We were appointed to help leading Irish bank AIB realise their vision for a new working culture and a modern, vibrant workplace for their Dublin headquarters. Working closely with the FM team, the design and construction of this project took just under 4 months.

For Ofwat, features such as a shared work/eat/meet lounge provide contingency work and project space during the peak periods. By removing dedicated offices to the external windows, we have created an open, light filled shared team space with pops of bright colours and bold landscape graphics.

Envisaged as a base for visiting teams from Aberdeen and a drop-in location for client teams, this design is focussed around a work/meet lounge ‘gateway’ which follows a similar palette of light, warm, vibrant colours and materials as the Aberdeen site. Team spaces are flexible with non-assigned desks, resource library areas and a variety of other worksettings for teams to share.
