Yesterday I was at Costco getting some supplies for a trip. Costco has some organic foods and some good natural grocery items, but it's cleaning supplies are lacking. Lots of Clorox and plastic plates and non-recycled paper products. And Febreeze. Don't get me started on Febreeze! 
I'm not trying to bring down the big box stores but rather to bring some awareness that there are things worth buying there and things to steer clear of. 
Even if it's more expensive and less convenient, I'm going to buy toilet paper that is recycled. 
I'm going to buy a laundry detergent that is free of fragrance and petroleum products and @mygreenfills also reduces the plastic waste significantly through it's methodology. 
Shop responsibly - it may be our greatest power.

My son refused to try to the sauna for months. But once he finally did he was like- oh I see why you guys like this so much. 
So cute to see him in here reading. Sauna is great for detoxification, immunity, weight loss, relaxation. We are so happy we invested in our Sunlighten sauna.

Getting ready for a video shoot in my kitchen tomorrow. We got the cabinets painted and the backsplash done just in time. 
I have to say I'm completely in love with how it turned out!  Makes such a difference to WANT to cook when your kitchen makes you happy.

I love bird nests. I'm fascinated every time I see one. I love collecting abandoned ones, despite my husband's eye rolling. 
I think I love them because I imagine the bird flying around doing the hard work to build this home. Even though the nest will Sunday be abandoned it is crafted with care.

I think it's a great metaphor for our own health. Are we building our Nest lovingly? Do we build our body with the utmost care even though someday it will no longer exist?
