Hey everyone, Coach Lanae here, starting our summer workout series. Alex will be helping me out. Bear with us on the video, we will get better 😉! We were both a little nervous to do this on camera, but if it helps one person it's worth it.
Workout 1- do this workout at least 2 times this week!
Start with a quick warm-up 20 seconds each of jumping jacks and skater jumps.
Core- do 3 sets of 30 seconds each prone plank, then left & right.
Dynamic stretches- do 3 sets of 10 on each side (we usually do these while traveling, but you can do them in place as well) Frankenstein Kicks, Tall Skips, Lunge with Torso Twist and finally Hip Flex Stretch with the Pivot.
Cardio- Do 3 to 5 sets of these, see if you can get faster each time, but keep proper positioning and form! Measure and mark about 10 yards.
---------shuffle back----->
--------carioca back------>
If you haven't stayed active outside of season, please follow along with us and prepare yourself for the upcoming season before it gets here.

Reminder-- No LAHA practices this week. Many of you have a tournament this weekend, it could be beneficial for you to make a public skate or stick time before you head out this weekend! Check the rink schedule for available ice times!
A few more from Try Hockey For Free this past Saturday
Saturday was USA Hockey sponsored Try Hockey For Free day. We had a great turnout, nearly 30 new to hockey kids on the ice and smiles on every face! Every kid asked said they had fun and that really is the most important part!
We were fortunate to have the help of our Eugene Generals players, our own LAHA coaches and even a couple of our players dressed to help out. It's our job to grow the sport in our community, and it happens with events like this!
Thank you @alexanderstimson for these fantastic photos!
