Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.. I question that; when practicing a sport, studying for a test, performing a bench press.. Are you not doing the same thing, and in turn, getting a new result from what you did at first? Don't get me a wrong it is a good quote. Delving deeper into it encourages higher thinking. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's both the beautiful and ugly thing about this world we live in. Nearly everything is open to interpretation so you can almost always be right. However, that interpretation can turn to turmoil in a split second. Just some food for thought on this beautiful West Texas morning.

I hear people say all the time "I do it right when it counts" and I just shake my head a little. I understand what they're saying, but the time is now! Whatever the task at hand, the time to perform it with precision and 100% effort is every time you do it! Life is too short to not be able to say you gave it your best! Does Starbucks carry protein powder?

YES, Starbucks(most of them) carries protein powder!🙌🏻

Something I want to be able to do is spread useful information to as many people as possible. That being said ⬇️

I get a TON of questions/comments regarding the protein used in my recipes so I thought I could enlighten y'all!(been in Texas so long I'm starting to adapt🤠)
•
First, it is a whey protein. Here is a list of ingredients.. (directly from the packaging)
-Whey protein isolate
-Chicory root extract
-Xanthan gum
-Soy lecithin
-Natural flavors
*Contains Milk and Soy
•
Second, the macros are as follows:
6g Protein/1g Carb per scoop (28 Calories)
•
Third, it is unflavored.. that being said it can change the taste of the drink if you use too much. ❗️My solution❗️
Use either sugar free syrup and/or a low/no calorie sweetener to combat the bland taste it gives!

Finally, the picture showed is the actual size of the scoop. So you can see, it's pretty small! I go with 4 scoops when I get my post workout protein Frappuccino!

One more thing, the caramel pumps seem like a lot I know! But for a Frappuccino we'll use a different pump which gives about half the syrup of a normal pump. Just wanted to clarify that for you if you were worried about it!

To finish this post, I wanted to take a quick second to introduce myself. I try to give you an idea of who I am through the messages on my post.
So 5 things about me! Honestly I was kind of nervous to pick this picture of myself. But for me training let's me release emotion and blow off steam, because life adds up sometimes. And I get it, I'm not the biggest or most shredded dude, just tryin to be real with ya😁

1️⃣I'm a dude, I know a lot of you are confused on that😂 Maybe it's a misconception that majority of baristas are female? Now you know!
2️⃣I'm 24.
3️⃣I spent 5 years in the U.S. Air Force.
4️⃣My educational path has been much less traditional, but I'll be graduating next year 👨‍🎓with my B.S. in Exercise Science, in pursuit of my DPT. (Doctorate of Physical Therapy)
5️⃣I have arthritis in both of my hips, I've already had a major surgery on one of them. (This has been a huge motivator in my choice of physical therapy) this isn't an excuse, just another challenge to work around. And just recently I've reached a goal of squatting to depth again, personal progress is what it's all about anyways so I'm happy!

I know a lot of you have some hesitation when ordering something out of the norm, but it's our job to make your drink exactly to your specification! So if you're met with attitude or are told no, please please let a manager know because that's definitely unprofessional. Now if there's a line with tons of people it can be a bit of a bother but still, that's what we're paid to do!

FYI! I make the drinks based off of the best taste, so for slightly better macros you can always substitute Almond milk rather than coconut milk! So knowing that, the ball's in your court on what type of milk you want to use!

Protein: 1g/ Carbs: 17g/ Fat: 1.5g

I get quite a few questions about macronutrient info. While many of you probably already know this, here's some quick nutrition info for those who don't yet!

PROTEIN: 4 calories per 1 gram
CARBS: 4 calories per 1 gram
FAT: 9 calories per 1 gram

This can help with calculating calories/macros if you decide to do custom drinks as well!
