For a product and services to be qualified under MyHIJAU Mark, the product and services must be deemed to:
• Minimise the degradation of the environment, or reduce greenhouse gas emissions;
• Promote health and the improvement of the environment; and
• Conserve the use of energy, water and/or other forms of natural resources, or promote the use of renewable energy, or be able to recycle waste material resources.

These products and services have been categorized under 10 categories and it covers four (4) green technology sectors which is Building, Energy, Transport and Water & Waste.

The beginning of Climate Launchpad 3-day Accelerator Lab (Week 2) kicked off on 8th August 2018 at GreenTech Malaysia's office in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. 
This session was led by Wan Faizal Anwar, Director of Technology & Innovation, GreenTech Malaysia. Participants discovered their business impact to the environment by doing a carbon calculation exercise of their business. They were then given insights on market access of the green industry. The day ended with participants taking a ride in our electric vehicles. 
GreenTech Malaysia as hosts to the Climate Launchpad is proud to support Malaysian entreprenuers in contributing towards our nation's green economy.

The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Base in Lumut, Perak was awarded the Provisional Certificate Low Carbon City Framework (LCCF) by the Ministry of Energy, Science Technology, Environment and Climate Change on Friday, 27th July 2018. 
The award is given in line with the Green Navy Plan 2018-2030. RMN is committed to reduce carbon emission at the Lumut Base through their electrical energy and water saving initiatives, reduction in vehicles usage in the Base and lesssening activities that could affect the environment.

On 30th July 2018 Low Carbon Cities (LCC) Team from Smart Sustainable Cities conducted a LCCF Clinic Session. A total of 16 participants from 7 local authorities and 1 University attended the session. The objective of this session is to enlighten the applicant for Low Carbon Cities Framework (LCCF) certification on the process and procedure in getting their own baseline and project recognition. Successful applications for baseline phase will be awarded with LCCF Provisional Certificate and blueprint phase will be recognize via LCCF Performance Recognition to entitle them to get the Diamond Recognition & Certificate of Achievement. The session then continues with hands on session to further discuss on their application and complete documentation for certification process.

After completion of the Climate Launchpad 2-day Boot Camp early July, participants continue with a 3-week National Level Accelerator Lab from 25th July to 21st August 2018 in Cyberjaya, Selangor. 
Here, participants get support to refine their idea, identify their target market and turn it into a business through coaching sessions with industry experts from GreenTech Malaysia & MaGIC before the final judging on 27th August.

The 3 National Winners will compete at the Climate Launchpad's Global Grand Finals to be held in Scotland early November 2018.

The Honourable Chief Minister Central Provincial of Sri Lanka, Mr. Sarath Ekanayake, led a delegation of 23 Sri Lankans to GreenTech Malaysia on 20 July 2018.  They consisted of Local Councillors from the Sri Lanka Central Provincial, the Director of Accounts & Payments, and the Deputy Secretary of Sri Lanka Ministry of Education.
