We joined Gwent Police today for the launch of their new Sky Mantis drones.

These are the first bespoke police drones to be used in Wales.

Drones are increasingly important tools for modern policing. They are cost effective, efficient, and can be used in a variety of roles.

They are particularly useful for helping the police to tackle crimes in our more rural communities, helping officers to cover more ground quickly and safely.

I look forward to formally meeting Jon in the next few weeks to discuss his role in keeping the people of Gwent safe.

Many topics discussed. I meet with the Chief Constable regularly, so will discuss all that was raised here to ensure that your concerns are highlighted.
