Red, orange, and yellow signal sweetness and desirability to your brain stemming back down to human instinct. -
Plants that are young and still growing, do NOT want to be eaten yet so they cleverly contain gut-irritating chemicals that show predators they’re not safe to consume. (Have you ever had a piece of fruit that wasn't quite ripe yet? Not a fun digestive experience!

On the other hand, ripe plants that WANT you to eat them rely on you to go to the bathroom in a field somewhere and ‘spread their seed' 💩 to ensure their offspring survive via your digestive tract. Color is one of the main ways they bring attention to predators hence all animals that eat fruit have COLOR VISION! 🙀 We are wired to associate red, yellow, and orange colors with ripeness and nutrition.🍑

Google McDonalds, Burger King, KFC & Wendy’s - what do you see? An abundance of red words or backgrounds and yellow shapes.🍟 Walk down the ‘snack food’ aisle at the supermarket and you’ll find yellow candy boxes🍋 and bright red Kool-Aid🍎 that trick the mind into attraction. Cereal boxes are the same: yellow and red dominate!

The plot thickens when it comes to product placement! Products marketed to kids are placed half as high on shelves as cereals marketed for adults, so they can appear closer to eye level. The characters on the kids cereal boxes, such as the Trix Rabbit and Cap'n Crunch, appear to be looking downwards at a 9.7-degree angle, whereas characters on adult boxes looked straight ahead.

I personally prefer fatty cuts of meat. At thanksgiving I’m the girl who reaches for the dark meat and not the breast (I think it has more flavor). Although I do love a nice filet, I’ll usually opt for a Ribeye as the fat tends to give it more flavor as well! Yes, higher in calories, but I don’t count calories or weigh my food and MY body responds better to high fats! Again, this is MY body and my preferences and no, I’m not on a ‘ketogenic’ diet and yes, I do eat plenty of fruits which tend to be where I get most of my carbs. I’m not on any type of ‘fad diet’ nor do I believe in them.

I don’t stress over food. I eat what I want, when I want it and listen to my body and what it’s asking for. My body tends to crave red meat around that time of the month and I used to suffer from anemia so the iron really helps. Yes, spinach and plenty of other foods contain iron as well but nothing quite does it for me like red meat!

When I cook at home I only buy grass-fed beef and wild caught fish (I don’t eat chicken). When I dine out, I eat whatever type of beef or fish they have on the menu.🤷🏻‍♀️

Constantly bloated? I used to suffer from bloat and digestive issues and constantly had problems going to the bathroom 💩🤷🏻‍♀️. I didn’t fix it by counting macros or calories. I fixed it by paying attention to the TYPES of foods I put into my system!

Intolerances and allergies are different. The bloat you suffer from could simply be due to eating foods your body doesn’t agree with, thus causing inflammation and water retention. Figure out what they are, eat them less, feel better, have a flat tummy 🤗
