Cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres ! Raw bar is always my go to but watch out for spicy tuna and things with a ton of sauces. Ceviche is almost always going to be your best bet! It’s marinated in lime juice as opposed to the mayo in the spicy tuna! You CAN go out to eat, attend work/family/friend events and STILL make healthy choices - you just have to know what to look for 🤗

Be cautious of the first thing you fuel your body with in the mornings - it tends to set the tone for the rest of the day!

🍋Ginger and lemon are great for anti bloating and help with digestion.
🥒Cucumbers are high in vitamin B and help rehydrate and remineralize the body.
🍚Chia seeds have lots of fiber, omega 3, and calcium and cleanse the colon by absorbing bad toxins.
🍌Bananas potassium is perfect for recovery and soluble fiber helps stop constipation.
🥗Spinach is high in antioxidants, niacin, zinc, and fiber.
🍓Blueberries are high in manganese, antioxidants, and vitamin c and can help with belly fat.

I share so many of my client transformations with you but here is MY transformation and the before picture wasn’t even my thinnest.

I was severely underweight and still not feeling thin enough. *cue body dysmorphia*. I was terrified of carbs. I was obsessed with numbers. I would count every single thing I ate and made sure to go to the gym and burn every calorie and then some.  The feeling of depression, inadequacy and struggles are the same no matter if you're overweight, underweight or the perfect weight. It's a feeling of shame and desperation. A feeling of anger and guilt.

I would deprive myself. I would binge eat. I suffered from acne. I didn't get my period. I let food take hold of my emotions. I let food control my life. It took me 4 years to get to where I'm at today and it's NOT because I was doing everything right when I decided to change. It's because I still went through havoc and up and downs and spirals when I was trying to change.

I was looking to fill this empty space inside of me and assumed when I just got thin enough, things would change for the better. I assumed if I looked a certain way it would resolve all those feelings and I would feel 'pretty' again. I was wrong.

I was seeking validation and chasing this 'perfect' image which doesn't exist. I'm here to tell you that I am concrete evidence that there is no glamour in suffering. It wasn't a 'change' from one day to the next. It was a gradual process that involved me learning myself and becoming self-aware. I made a conscious decision to change and you have the choice too. If you're going through any of these feelings I encourage you to break the chains. Learn how to listen to your body rather than automatically run to food. It's ok to want and strive for a healthier body that carries less (or more) weight but HOW you get there is what makes the difference. 🙏🏼

When I grow up I wanna half the energy baby Sky has 🙋🏻‍♀️ New way to get your cardio in - invite your fave 2 year old over to help you cook and somehow end up in a never ending game of tag and pick the baby up. At the end of it all you will have replaced ankle weights for a little human 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you’re a parent this was the ‘one more time - again, again’ phase 😂😂

VEGAN ZUCCHINI BOATS! Super quick and easy lunch/dinner recipe!

Nothing like a little laughter mixed with some 🔥 salsa 🤤

Omit the cheese to make it vegan and swap the rice for ground beef or turkey to make it a lower carb / higher protein dish!

Ingredients:
4 zucchini
1 red onion
1 c corn drained and rinsed
1 c black beans drained and rinsed
1 c @freshcravingssalsa (hands down theeee best so had to make the plug. You can find it at your grocery store)
1 c Jasmine rice / Quinoa / Ground Beef
1 tbsp Garlic
Cilantro

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400F
Slice zucchini in half and scoop out center
Cook onion on skillet over medium heat
Toss in corn, beans, salsa, garlic, cilantro and rice
Stuff the boats
Bake for 20-25 mins and enjoy!
