Here’s the recipe for our sweet and spicy baked beans! Enjoy as a topping for hot dogs & burgers or enjoy with tortilla chips. Now sampling at Hi-Lo Manor Park!

2 Cans Hilo Baked Beans 
2 Medium Onions ( diced)
1 medium sweet pepper ( diced)
4 tblspns. Sweet relish
4 tblspns. Hilo Vegetable oil 
2 cloves garlic (minced)
3-4 tblspn. Hilo Crushed Scotch Bonnet Pepper
2 tblspn. Hilo Tomato Ketchup
1 tblspn. Cumin/chili powder
1 tblspn. Brown sugar
1 tblspn. Oregano 
1. In a skillet or frying pan, heat vegetable oil and add onions, garlic and sweet pepper and stir.
2. Reduce flame and add baked beans and stir.
3. Add crushed pepper, cumin, brown sugar, tomato ketchup and stir
4. Cover and allow to simmer for 3-4 minutes
5. Add sweet relish and stir for another minute or two.
6. Pour in bowl and sprinkle oregano on top.

No need to order takeout anymore! Your favorite fried rice dish is packed right into meal prep boxes for the entire week!⠀
1 1/2 cups rice⠀
1 pound string beans, trimmed⠀
3 tablespoons Hi-Lo soy sauce⠀
1 tablespoon sesame oil⠀
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger⠀
1/4 teaspoon white pepper, optional⠀
2 tablespoons olive oil⠀
1 1/2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined⠀
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste⠀
2 cloves garlic, minced⠀
1 onion, diced⠀
2 carrots, peeled and grated⠀
1/2 cup Hi-Lo sweet corn,⠀
1/2 cup hi-lo green peas⠀
2 green scallions, thinly sliced⠀
In a large saucepan of 3 cups water, cook rice according to package instructions; set aside.⠀
In a large pot of boiling salted water, blanch string beans until bright green in color, about 2 minutes. Drain well and cool in a bowl of ice water. Drain well and set aside.⠀
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and white pepper, if using; set aside.⠀
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium high heat. Add shrimp, and cook, stirring occasionally, until pink, about 2-3 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste; set aside.⠀
Add garlic and onion to the skillet, and cook, stirring often, until onions have become translucent, about 3-4 minutes.⠀
Stir in carrots, corn and mixed veg. Cook, stirring constantly, until vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.⠀
Stir in rice, green onions and soy sauce mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until heated through, about 2 minutes. Stir in shrimp.⠀
