We’re saddened to hear of the passing of Geoff Martin. An amazing servant to the sport and one of it’s great characters. RIP.
Zatopek:10 2014 - Four years after winning the de Castella junior 3000m Brett Robinson added the Zatopek crown to his resume, taking victory in 28:45.36 from Duer Yoa (28:46.46) and Eritrea’s Samson Gebreyohannes Gezaha (28:49.42). @brett_robinson23

Zatopek 2011 was the first at Lakeside Stadium and dominated by Kenyans, with Emmanuel Bett taking the win in 27:33. @benny_saintgram was the first Aussie across the line in  28:01.
Zatopek 2010: @linden.hall and @brett_robinson23 took out the junior 3000m events in 9:43.19 and 8:04.22 respectively.
Looking back at Zatopek 2009: Then national record holder Collis Birmingham took out the men’s tussle in 28:04.14 in a close race ahead of Ben St Lawrence (28:05.73) and Michael Shelley (28:13.13). @collisbirmingham @benny_saintgram
Looking back at Zatopek 2008: Lara Tamsett was a class above the rest of women’s 10000m field, lapping all of her competitors on her way to a 32:56.19 victory. The minor places were taken out by Cassie Fien (34:34.16) and New Zealand’s Belinda Wimmer (35:16.17). @laratamsett
