Captivating the room. @chrisdancy is our featured keynote speaker at the #MusicOfWellness, talking about technology and how it doesn't need to distract us from the world (and can aid in personal health research!). (Cc: @inkfactorystudio)
Our wonderful directors of client relations are helping everyone to start dreaming and connecting together on what a perfect wellness program looks like to them. #MusicOfWellness
Enticing all of the senses at the #MusicOfWellness. Live note illustrations thanks to @inkfactorystudio for our visual enjoyment in addition to the musical acts and engaging presentations on health and wellness.
We're ready for our guests at the #MusicOfWellness Conference! Looking forward to a day of learning together.
“Many long-term sources of stress are mental. Your mind sometimes reacts to a harmless event as if it were a real threat. Like physical stress, mental stress can be short term: from taking a test to getting stuck in a traffic jam. It can also be long term: from working for a demanding boss to taking care of an aging parent.” ~ @amdiabetesassn.

Congrats to the winners of our 2016 Healthiest Companies in America awards!
Does your organization have what it takes to be recognized as one of the Healthiest Companies in America?
We recently named 156 companies and organizations recipients of the Healthiest Companies in America designation, #HealthiestCos, which recognizes employers for outstanding achievements in improving—and truly transforming—the health of their employee population. This is the 10th year @InteractiveHealth has selected winners of the Healthiest Companies in America award, which celebrates each company’s unique wellness program and its ability to achieve transformational, lasting change for employees.
Did you know that each winner had to achieve at least 70% participation rates in their wellness programs to qualify, among other inspirational health outcomes achieved?
Find the list of the over 150 winners and read the full press release to learn how your company can qualify for this healthy achievement! (Link in bio.)
Do you have a pet? According to a @Time article on April 7, 2017, "People who have pets tend to have lower blood pressure, heart rate and heart-disease risk than those who don't. Those health boons may come from the extra exercise that playing and walking require, and the stress relief of having a steady best friend on hand." #

Today is #NationalPetDay. Take time today to give your pet - or a friend's pet, for that matter - an extra hug and petting. It's good for your health!
Today is #WorldHealthDay. This year, the @WHO makes #depression the focus of their annual day. This focus is particularly important for #workplacewellness programs to understand, as #mentalhealth is increasingly an area of attention.
Key facts from the WHO include:
- Depression is a common mental disorder. Globally, more than 300 million people of all ages suffer from depression.
- Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide, and is a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease.
- More women are affected by depression than men.
- There are effective treatments for depression.
Wellness is where it begins. From here we bring together important support networks—physicians, our health coaches, and organization and community resources —empowering participants to take control of their health. Wellness program members even have the ability to fax health evaluation results to their primary care physicans. According to @amdiabetesassn, an estimated 86 million Americans have #prediabetes, and 90% of them don't know they have it. Prediabetes can lead to type 2 #diabetes and its many serious complications. It's crucial for people to know their risk because prediabetes can be reversed with #healthyfoodchoices, weight loss, #exercise, other #lifestylechanges and medication. In honor of #DiabetesAlertDay, we encourage you to #knowyourrisk!
#DYK that our kidneys actually help keep your blood pressure in a normal range? When kidneys are damaged, they may not be able to do this job. This is why high blood pressure can occur with chronic kidney disease even if high blood pressure wasn't a health concern before.
No matter which came first—high blood pressure or kidney disease—having high blood pressure gradually damages the tiny blood vessels in the kidneys. High blood pressure also damages the tiny filters in your kidneys. From there the kidneys cannot filter your blood properly.
Learn more about the importance of kidney health and overall health at and see where you stand with by having your annual wellness screening and health evaluation done. . . . . .
