Sometimes I make fabric designs that for one reason or another never actually make it into a final piece! I found this pic of a collage idea but the component parts seem to be strewn across my studio in boxes, tins and suitcases! Shame as I actually quite like it, but at least I have a picture :) 🖤
One of my favourites from last weekends @madebyhanduk @cheltenhamtownhall by Jeremy James. I was so tempted! 🖤 #befearless #findyourpassion #keepdreaming
Ah Spring sunshine! This was taken a few weeks ago @uptonhousent before the snow came! Looking forward to many more adventures with @nationaltrust this Summer 💚
Today was so beautiful and sunny, it feels like spring is finally on its way! I took some time out of the studio and visited the lovely @prema_arts for amazing coffee and cake. I then mooched around the charity shops of #nailsworth and got really excited by the idea of milometers for sewing machines with @herringboneshop!....Imagine how brilliant that would be! 💛
Morning! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my film (see link in bio if you haven’t seen it!). This is one of the pieces that gets made in it! 🖤
Earlier this year you may remember that I had a very tidy studio and that I was filming with @racollaborations! Well I am very excited to say that the film is now finished and if you follow the link in my bio you can see it! 💛
I’ve been interviewed!...By the lovely Jen from @swatchandrepeat. Head over to her page for the link to her blog if you fancy a read! 🧡
I can spend entire days finding the right background layers for my #textilecollage! This one has a brilliant #vintageprint in a #blackandwhitefloral behind it. Love it when I find a #vintagefabric that is so versatile and can be used in so many ways 🖤
Flashback to Spring Summer ‘98 when I designed the fabric for this dress @nicolefarhi. It’s made up of silk rose petals joined together with #freemachineembroidery. Thankfully I just sold them the sample and didn’t have to make up the entire fabric! 🌹
So after cancelling today’s workshop in the studio I finally managed to leave the village! Remembered that there was an @loulousvintagefair @cheltenhamtownhall and went for a mooch. I am so weave inspired at the moment so big thanks to @cherimoorevintage for letting me take these close up pics of her gorgeous #vintagejackets 🖤
I often wonder where this piece of my #textileart lives now! It sold last year via @piquantcollections hope they are enjoying it :) 🖤
I am randomly sorting through my #fabricsamples in the studio today. It’s slow going as so far on the second #snowday we have monoprinted, painted, collaged and built an assault course, the house is a tip!! I did manage to photograph this piece though... a medley of #upcycledfabric, #vintagetrim and a few #pearls 🖤
