After a very heavy cycle in weight training, I went to 85% 3sets x 5reps in deadlift, bench and by the end of the week squat. Hit 152.3kg (335lbs) but after that 3rd rep I was fried. To be successful you have to adapt the workflow and not gripe on how difficult the process is or what you might not even have compared to others. The journey evolves with every step we take forward unfolding and unraveling new and old discoveries for us to take on. Embrace and be proud of your process including the moments where you feel you have failed, those too are stepping Stones towards your success!

It's #friyay yo!!! Running low on #workoutclothes don't mind the mismatch patterns. At least it's all the same color scheme 😎 my tennis towel was a life saver since I was sweating and the barbell kept sliding down my back 😥 might be my new look 😂 
New training block, upped the intensity, dropped the volume, working on macimal strength. My legs were dead after acceleration runs, 3x5 squat, 3x3 heavy quarter squat followed by 3x3 front squat.

Rest is key when training no matter what your focus is. Your CNS, muscles, mind, soul - it all needs a break. When resting, it doesn't mean you have to be laid up on vacation, rather you can incorporate less stressful (on the body, mind or both) excerises into your routine focusing on recovery, form, execution, etc. Also by bringing down the intensity of time, amount of weight lifted and/or reps allows you the additional rest needed to continue training harder for another few weeks or even enter an entirely new training block. #rest #recovery #chickswholift #bobsleigh #pathtopyeongchang #down #week
It's FriYay Yo! Excited to close out the week and training block with a high volume PR. Amazed at the results with limited resources. Many Olympic athletes have nutritionist, physio therapist on hand, state of the art gyms with top notch equipment, meal plans, stipends, etc. But nothing beats old fashioned grind and hard work. There is no fluff in that! 
Workout: Back Squat 3 sets of 8 reps at 127.3kg (280lbs) [seen in video] followed by Front Squat 2 sets of 5 reps and Power Step Ups 3 sets of 3 reps each leg. Coach @surfbobsled got my legs jello! Excited for my earned down week and new training block. .
