#Snacking isn't all it's cracked up to be. Some folks #snack throughout the day more than they eat regular meals. Nowadays many parents are allowing their children to fall into this pattern from the earliest ages. The maintained #insulin high in the blood stream that results from this constant eating/snacking does not allow insulin levels to fall back to where they should be before you eat again. That keeps your #sugar levels elevated all day. So you feel #hungry constantly cuz your sugar's spiking and bottoming out over and over. This is #stressful! 😬😫😜 Eating 3 solid, healthy meals a day and skipping the snacks will within a week or two balance your hunger hormones and sugar. It can even eventually help in reversing insulin resistance and type 2 #diabetes. .

Since going gluten free a couple years ago, I've hardly baked anything. Until I discovered Sourdough a few weeks ago. Super good for you. Full of fuel and energy. Full of vitamins and minerals and fiber. So much flavor. Yay! I've been enjoying having my baking back! lol. 😊🍞🍕🍪🌯

One of my favorite autumn views this year. I didn't know if the camera would capture it, but that square in the middle was like a window as I walked by. Catching my attention, and bringing peace to my soul. Sometimes it's in little things like that where you feel Jesus encouraging your soul as you look beyond what you see. 🍂

Pumpkin pie! A Thanksgiving favorite. 🦃 For a healthier version change up the white sugar for coconut sugar or maple syrup. It will add a new depth of flavor. Also try subbing a can of full fat coconut milk for the evaporated milk. So good for you. Don't worry, it won't have a coconut flavor at all. I've done this the last three years and even the die-hard coconut haters never noticed! Lol.

Just got the turkey 🦃 out to thaw! The only way to cook a #turkey in my (humble, of course 😉) opinion is breast down and overnight. Not very #traditional, not real pretty, and maybe even a smidge sinful, but it'll be the most #mouthwatering and tender Turk you've ever had.

The juices will flow down into the breast meat and it'll be practically falling off the bone. Like I said, not pretty. So, if how it looks is important to you, this isn't for you. But if you're all about taste, then this is the way to go. We've been doing it this way for years and it's never once failed.

Just prep the bird the way you would normally the evening before, but keeping it breast down in the pan. Turn the oven to 240 degrees (just above boiling point), and roast overnight. Be prepared to wake up with your mouth watering as the wonderful #savory smell permeates the house!

Celery. If someone had told me a year ago that I'd enjoy eating celery, I might have rolled my eyes and said nuh-uh. 😝 But God made our bodies in such a way that they crave what we put in them. If we put junk food in them, we crave junk food. If we put healthy stuff then we crave that. Yes, I forced myself to eat celery at first, but now I can feel my body needing and wanting it.

And last, but not least, carrots. Real, long, bugs bunny type carrots that I sliced myself. I'm not a baby carrot fan. They just don't taste as good and don't have the same benefits as a regular carrot.
