Get in line of the ball with your backfoot behind the ball just incase you miss the ball

Stay low and watch the ball come in to your hands

Present both hands making a larger surface area, reducing the chance of missing the ball.

Tip Tuesday : The Backlift .

This will enable you to present a full face of the bat when you downswing and meet the oncoming ball.

Alignment is extremely important for a bowler to maximise efficiency and stay injury-free.

Your backfoot landing will determine the type of bowler you are and your body needs to be aligned accordingly.

The line of your hips and shoulders should be about 90° with the line of your backfoot in all three actions.

Side-on:
Backfoot lands parallel to the crease, 
Bowler looks over his front shoulder.

Semi-open:
Backfoot lands at around 45 degrees,
The front arm comes in front of your head.

Front-on:
Back foot lands pointing towards the batsmen,
Bowler looks just inside the line of his front arm.

Resistance running will help you build strength and develop fast twitch muscle fibers.

It'll increase your top speed as well as your acceleration allowing you to give bursts of strength and speed.

This’ll help you accelerate better while bowling

Be more agile while fielding

And help you run 2’s and 3’s rapidly while batting

Running parachutes aren't the only way to do resistance running, you could do uphill running, hydro running (running in the pool) or do it with other resistance accessories, all of these are effective and will help you improve.
