Wishing this was my Monday mood, but it’s more like 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴 Anyone else play way too hard this weekend and not at all ready for this week?? 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Here’s to 8pm bedtimes and lots of coffee 👏🏼 Photo by the lovely @stephanielynnkase

Happy Thursday! Anyone else still struggling to get back into a rhythm since Thanksgiving? 🙋🏼‍♀️We spent 6 days in Colorado visiting Michael’s family. It was the BEST. Here are a few weird facts about me when it comes to traveling 🏔🛫🙃 ▪️
1️⃣ I absolutely love airports. Weird. I know! 😆 I’m an introvert and enjoy people watching, seeing where all of the planes are going, standing in line, wandering around the terminal, yep I’m crazy! ▪️
2️⃣ I always take lots of things to keep me occupied on the plane and NEVER use them. Like ever. For example, I brought two books, a Bible study guide, and a magazine. I did read the magazine but that was it! Why do I take up space in my backpack?! 🤦🏼‍♀️
3️⃣ I pack days (sometimes weeks) in advance because I have intense anxiety that I’ll forget what I need. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also make packing lists so I can check off as I go. 📝

Okay, what about you?? What weird things do you do when you travel?
My face now that all things Christmas are socially acceptable. 🙌🏻🎄❄️🎅🏽 Anyone else been listening to Christmas music since October? 🙋🏼‍♀️ What’s on your holiday playlist? 🎶
The most beautiful 6.5 mile hike at Red Rocks 🏔🧡✨ Can you believe this view?! #dowtraveladventures
The most picturesque cabin 🏔🌲 While I’m a stickler with traditions, this getaway to Colorado for Thanksgiving has been exactly what we’ve needed. #dowtraveladventures
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I’m most thankful for this kind, wise, and patient husband of mine. Michael is a daily outpouring of God’s grace and love. What are you thankful for today? 💛
Our view for the next week 🌲🏔 So thankful for this time of rest, adventure, family, and MOUNTAINS 💛
My obsession with 💍🌲 will never go away and I’m okay with that. #katelynndowringshots #katelynndowphotography
As this beautiful fall season is quickly coming to a close, my heart is filled with joy because for the past few months I’ve truly been “living in the moment.” This is such a hard concept for me to grasp. I’m a psycho planner, list maker, checker-off-er (yep that’s a real word), and not at all spontaneous. When I think back to previous seasons, I’ve only been looking ahead, making goals and planning for what I can’t control, all while ignoring the daily joys and beauty around me. Something happened in mid September that snapped me into reality, and the Lord has graciously given me a spirit of peaceful contentment to soak in everyday. I have no idea how long I’ll be a wedding photographer or live in Louisville. I don’t know if we’ll ever travel overseas (Michael’s dream is Ireland, mine is France!) or own our own home. Nothing is certain. That’s where the beauty is because CHRIST alone is where my surety stands. I’m convinced that He alone is true JOY, and where all of life’s meaning finds its home. While things in life come and go, complications arise and trials rush in, He is constant, ever faithful and loving. I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the present. Take your eyes off of tomorrow and thank the Lord for His faithfulness today. 💛
Joyful and thankful 💛 Michael was gracious enough to take new pictures with me tonight and he’s such a sweet man. Also, short hair don’t care 💁🏼‍♀️ 📷: @zanarkand3
Never take anyone for granted. My brother and his family woke up to the sound of their massive tree cracking in their front yard. God protected them and their house, and I’m so deeply grateful. Hug your loved ones extra tight and thank the Lord for His blessings everyday. 💛
