SERVE TEAM: We’re eternally grateful for every member of our Serve Team who make our Sunday services possible. This month we want to highlight @joncea4. He arrives early each Sunday to mainly take care of 4 siblings so their parents can rehearse without any distractions. While "babysitting" the kids by playing soccer or throwing baseballs or shooting nerf guns, he also helps with several ares of setup. Jon's servant heart is driven by the many ways Jesus has served him, especially through the sacrifice Jesus made for him on the cross. Thank you @joncea4 !
Last Sunday, we began our study of the life of Jesus through the gospel according to Mark. We dedicated the majority of our time together reading the first eight chapters of this biography. It was a sweet time of reflection through the public reading of Scripture. Jesus is truly the the greatest need for every human!
Who is Jesus? Why is he both controversial and compelling? What does it mean for a person to follow him? - This Sunday we begin our reflections on the life and works and teachings of Jesus from the gospel according to Mark through readings from this fast-paced biography.
All are welcome. Join us:

Today, we gathered at the park. We sung songs that reminded us of how God’s love in Christ has the power to awaken our souls. Then @gormanj2015 helped us see how God has been involved in her life and continues to transform her life to reflect the life of Jesus. Afterwards, we spent the rest of our time eating, playing and laughing. Thank you @kingscrosschurchsd for a lovely day.
Join us this Sunday for our gathering in the park. We’ll hear the true story of a life transformed by the gospel and also enjoy some food and games. All are welcome. Hope to see you there!

SERVE TEAM: We’re eternally grateful for every member of our Serve Team who make our Sunday services possible. This week we want to highlight @amosil96 and his brother @josh_ua_20. Each Sunday, they arrive earlier than everyone to setup and operate our audio and video equipment and look good while serving 😎. They’re passionate about Jesus and His message of hope and serving in this way is one of the ways they contribute to making and maturing followers of Jesus in San Diego. Thank you lads!
“It’s the gospel that brought us together and it’s the gospel that keeps us together.” On Sunday, we discovered what it looks like to mature as followers of Jesus in community. Grateful for @tamthientran for helping us see this in Scripture! Join us this coming Sunday as we look at the gospel and discipleship.
What is the purpose of community? What should we expect from our smaller gatherings throughout the week? How can we help one another mature as followers of Jesus in community?
Join us this Sunday for part two of our series on our mission.

Last Sunday, we were reminded of one of our primary purposes as learners of Jesus, and that is to grow in our knowledge of Jesus and make Him known to others. Thank you @dannyjack for faithfully and wisely reminding us of this truth. You can listen to the talk on our website:

Grateful that we were able to enjoy a lovely and fruitful day together at the park. Church in the park was a joyous gathering. We were reminded by Blake that our Christian faith should be based on our own personal relationship with Jesus alone, and not on the faith of our family or religion. The faithful @amosil96 made some amazing tacos 🌮. Overall we had an awesome time. Looking forward to more of the same next month.
