Lucas Hoffman from Modern Woodmen of America contacted Live Like Cat and has so graciously organized a fundraiser on August 12 at Krav’n! Krav’n will donate 10% to Live Like Cat and Modern Woodmen will match it! The matching funds will be used to purchase new books for Roosevelt High School and Laura Wilder Elementary libraries. Also, please bring a book to donate on August 12 - second grade level books are needed. School is just around the corner and we have lots planned!
New items are in. Key rings are $8 each. Car decals are $5. Contact Barb at 212-0682 to purchase.
Happy birthday to Live Like Cat’s treasure, marketing and social media genius. Happy birthday Kim! We love you

Today we made a trip down to Vermillion to see the two benches that were placed in honor of Caitlyn. Both benches read “forgive often and love with all your heart”. Caitlyn’s exact words given in her last speech. How perfect! One bench is placed at Jolley Elementary where Caitlyn spent a lot of time with the children. The other is placed on the fishing pier in Cotton Park; exactly where Caitlyn and Dan would want it to be. Caitlyn spent many of afternoons strolling the trails at Cotton Park to de-stress. So it’s all perfectly her. Thank you so much to Lauren Nustad who excitedly wanted to lead this project. Thank you for all the generous people who donated for the project. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this happen.
The Barrel House and patrons raised over $1,000 for the Live Like Cat Foundation and will be placed in the Caitlyn Carman Education Scholarship Fund. Thank you Barrel House for your hospitality and generosity! And thanks to our wonderful community for supporting the memory of our precious Caitlyn!!
This is why we do what we do. After a classroom visit back in March, we were contacted that a particular little girl was especially touched by Caitlyn’s story and would love anything Live Like Cat. In June we surprised her for her birthday with a T-shirt made just for her. It is so special to see and hear the words we share ARE being heard. Spreading a little Caitlyn love one day at a time.
Attention Education majors at all colleges! The Live Like Cat Organization is awarding a $1000 scholarship in August for Fall 2019 semester which would have been Caitlyn’s senior year. Download the application at livelikecat.org/scholarship
