The London Korean Film Festival has closed its doors on 2018!
_
Now the UK Tour has ended, we'd like to give a huge 'Thank You' to everyone who attended the fantastic screenings and events we had on offer this year. The festival proved a huge success, with a big increase in audience numbers, as film fans fully engaged with the festival's Special Focus: A Slice of Everyday Life and the diverse spectrum of Korean cinema from across decades & genres that we had on offer. This year the festival hosted over 50 films and brought a number of filmmakers, both seasoned veterans and exciting up-and-comers, to the UK along with some world-renowned film critics. Festival-goers were given the opportunity to engage directly with these guests at a wide range of Q&As, Masterclasses, 'In Conversation' events and more.

~ ALIVE + Q&A Dir. Park Jungbum
_
Tuesday evening saw director Park Jungbum return to @regentstreetcinema after Sunday's screening of THE JOURNALS OF MUSAN. This time he was here with film critic Simran Hans to introduce his epic feature ALIVE.
_
The pair returned to the stage after the screening as Park discussed his work and the difficulties in getting it made, including the gruelling shooting process which involved getting up every morning to collect and chop wood for heat before filming could even begin...
_
Park then stuck around as we invited audiences to join us for drinks in the bar after the screening.
_
Tonight sees us return to Regent Street Cinema one last time for 2018 with our Closing Gala film, THE RETURN!
