A New Year Brings New #Challenges and New #Opportunities, and we are excited by the #trends, #scale and #potential that #2019 has to offer. We are confident that the #transformational #changes,  enhanced #vision and the proposed new #programmes will contribute to #quality up-gradation, augmented #learning, and #skill-development to sustain the momentum we are carrying into January.
We are grateful for the immense #support of the #community over the last year and request the same #trust, #confidence & #cooperation in helping us harness the #youth potential in and around #Rishikesh as well as #Haridwar.
On behalf of the School #Management, #Principal, #Staff, and #Students, we take this opportunity to wish everybody a Very Happy & Prosperous 2019. "The best time to start was yesterday, and the next best time is NOW". #HappyNewYear #education
"All of Science is nothing more than the refinement of everyday thinking." - ALBERT EINSTEIN
#Science is the magical gift to mankind that works in real life. To make it more meaningful and practical, on 29th December 2018, MAMS organized a Science #Exhibition in the Senior Wing, wherein #students of classes VI-VIII and of Class XI Science presented their views as Models/Project work in front of Parents during the PTM held on the same day.

Students made models relevant to day-to-day #applications including Water level indicator, Universal Remote Control (To control all the Electric devices in a house using IC and Uno board), Vacuum Cleaner, Hydraulic Machine (like JCB/Excavator), Projector (based on the principle of Light), Streetlight without electricity (based on the principle of Kinetic Energy), and Volcanic Eruption, etc.
During the exhibition Parents/Guardians of the students appreciated the #thoughts and #presentations of the students who used this opportunity to spread the awareness of #Science and #Technology along with the use of their imagination.

On 28th December 2018, we organized a #Career #Fair, wherein the core team of 'Life Page' (a platform that facilitates access to a vast repository of career #talks and guidance programs) delivered a 2 hours long session for our Senior #students. The team presented the right approach, diverse options, opportunities, and paths to opt for the sensible career. Further, they clarified how one should proceed effectively towards successfully pursuing one's #dream career.

Mr Kapil Rawat, Founder of Life Page is an alumnus of IESE Business School, Barcelona and a former investment banker who was based in #London. He has had decades of #experience (in India and Abroad) in career #guidance which he used wisely to #motivate students and parents by presenting plethora of Career options. He also addressed the doubts and questions of all attendees.

He explained various career #opportunities with the help of his online platform, which is available for students to visit free of cost. Students can use the app to learn roles, responsibilities, and approaches from experts across a host of #professions including IAS, IPS, Lawyers, Businessmen, etc. Students can watch the 1100+ expert talks to know exactly about each career from a professional who can share first-hand information from his own experience.

We endeavour to provide our students #exposure to a wide array of options so that they can know 'which bus to catch' and 'WHY to choose a particular career' early in their lives.

We thank Mr Rawat and his team from Life page for this #enlightening and #inspiring session and hope students will make judicious use of this #platform to decide their career #choices.
Good luck!
A visit to a Regional Science Center, Dehradun

The RSC is a #science #museum that is engaged in popularisation of science among the students. The aim of the visit was to develop the #scientific temper among the students.
The students were given a brief introduction to the world of science by the educators of the center. They thoroughly enjoyed the visit and the plethora of exhibits left them spell bound. The trip was an enriching experience for them.

On 12th December, eight students of Grade VI participated in the #Inter-#School AWIM (A #World In #Motion) #Regional #Olympics. AWIM is a #STEM-based #educational #initiative by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited to guide and #motivate students to chase their #dreams. The AWIM #Design #Experience gives an opportunity to make #learning "fun" to have young students discover the exciting #application of #science #principles #practically.

The #competition required students to design a #car using the kit provided to them on-the-spot.
We are happy to announce that our teams performed brilliantly in all the three rounds and one of our teams secured the 1st runner-up of #speed track #event and the other team was declared the #winner of the #distance track event.

The credits for this goes to the #students and the #teachers who worked hard behind the show. It is their dedication and zeal to #learn which has made us all #proud today. We thank Mahindra & Mahindra for including MAMS in the list of participating teams.

VISIT TO GANGA PREM HOSPICE ON #HUMAN #RIGHTS #DAY:
60 years ago, the International Community recognised the significance of human rights by signing a declaration that is appreciated as the #Universal #Declaration of Human Rights.
To celebrate this day which is now commonly known as the Human Rights Day, students of MAMS visited Ganga Prem Hospice, Rishikesh, an institution dedicated to serve terminally ill cancer patients towards the last mile of their life.
This visit aimed to bring a smile to the faces of the cancer patients’ residing there and it did exactly that.
To express their #love, students sang bhajans and recited poems that left the audience mesmerized.
Students also showed their respect and love toward the patients by gifting them personalized handmade
cards.
Our students learnt a lot through the interactive and #immersive session with the staff and the patients. The #ExperientialLearning session educated the students about #cancer, its causes and consequences. A special emphasis
was laid on avoiding #DrugAbuse which is a common cause of cancer.
The students took great interest in learning about the everyday routine of the patients including their diet, medication and interests in general.
The activity thought the students shows the importance and the respect towards life which is what
human rights aim to achieve.
Overall, this initiative by MAMS students turned out to be successful in it's aim of expressing #care and #compassion towards the critically ill patients who long for #peace and #comfort.
It was a befitting celebration of the Human Rights Day that concluded with a gesture of #respect and #gratitude by the MAMS fraternity towards the noble Humanitarian service being rendered by the Hospice.
#DrugAddiction has affected people across the world alike and Raiwala has been no exception.
To spread awareness of the consequences of drug addiction and to promote a healthy drug-free lifestyle, MAMS organised a #CrossCountryRace (half-marathon) for students. The objective was also to promote #fitness and #endurance amongst our school students.

We are proud to announce that around 200 #students from classes III to XII ran for the extremely relevant cause. Students proudly wore slogans that read "#SayNoToDrugs" on their chests educating the #community of the consequences of the growing menace.

We hope that such small initiatives by the MAMS fraternity will help promote #awareness and discourage people from reliance on #harmful #substances. We request members of the civil society to join their march against drugs by saying no to drugs and discouraging others from consuming them.
#Congratulations to all the winners and kudos to all students who finished the run.
