✨✨FREE WORKOUTS✨✨ I decided to start something fun & new !! I’m posting FREE #WeeklyMoves Workouts on my Instagram Story starting THIS week. They will be posted every MONDAY & stay on my story for 24 hours. After the initial 24 hrs. they will be saved in my Instagram highlights for the remainder of the week until the next week’s workouts are posted.

ABS & ROLLS AT THE SAME TIME?! Per usual just trying to keep things real & transparent with you all 🙋🏻‍♀️ Whoever says you can’t have abs or get a flat stomach after a baby is 1000% incorrect. It is possible. 
I remember scrolling through social media seeing all these “fit moms” and their “Fit bodies after baby” thinking if they can do it so can I! 
So I set out to prove to myself that it could be done. I won’t lie, it does take hard work, consistency & patience. A LOT of patience. 
But I don’t want that to discourage anyone from going after their goals. Honestly, the hard is what makes it worth it.

Even though I accomplished my goal of seeing my abs again, I wasn’t fully happy about it. Because I still had these rolls and loose skin in areas I didn’t before.

I didn’t see this stuff on the “Fit moms” on social media. They didn’t share the behind the scenes stuff. The real & honest stuff.

So that’s what I am doing here for you. Showing you the highlights and the behind the scenes stuff because my goal is to be as transparent as possible in order to inspire AND educate you.

————————————————————————————— Yes, there’s no doubt that we want to look good. That is probably the #1 goal I hear as an online fitness coach. “I want to look good.” “I want to be toned.” “I want to have abs.”
————————————————————————————— But WHY?
————————————————————————————— Is it, perhaps, that we don’t feel worthy enough right now, just as we are? 
Is it that we feel like if we can just get that “perfect” body we will FINALLY be happy?
————————————————————————————— We scroll through social media, seeing all these “fit” people that look so happy and just wish we could be there too. ————————————————————————————— I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum, and I can tell you that it’s not the end goal that makes you happy. It’s the journey that does. It’s the process. Looking back and seeing yourself transform physically, of course, but even more so mentally. ————————————————————————————— I challenge you to just embrace where you are on your journey, right now. Rather than wishing you were already at the destination. Because once you get to the destination, there’s always going to be something more to strive for. Will we ever be fully happy if we can’t be happy right now?

I've been there, girl. Feeling this burst of motivation to start that weight loss journey again. Finally feeling fed up with your lack of success and thinking "this time it's going to be different". ————
You start off strong the first week and feel super confident. You even stay the course over the first weekend. The next few weeks come and go but after a while you start to get sick of eating the same foods and you're starting to crave everything under the sun. You have seen some results but not as much as you'd hoped for so you start to wonder if this is worth it? ————
You let your guard down a little the next weekend because you've worked hard and you deserve to indulge a little. But one indulgence turns into 3 or 4 and before you know it you've lost control and your confidence has completely plummeted. Your motivation is gone as quickly as it arrived and you're left feeling stuck, thinking "maybe I'm just not meant to be fit and I should just accept this is how I'm going to be".

I remember this feeling all too well. And finally was so fed up with it that I KNEW I needed to do something different than I'd ever done before because obviously what I was trying to do wasn't working so well.

It was scary AF. I had to spend MONEY, I had to be accountable to someone other than myself. But ya know what? That's what I NEEDED to stop the roller coaster ride I had been on for so many years.

🇺🇸HOW TO SURVIVE THE 4TH 🇺🇸

Holidays & social gatherings used to stress me out. I’d worry about what I could & couldn’t eat. Or should & shouldn’t eat. I’d read every guide on Pinterest about how to stay on track during the holidays. I’d check all my favorite fitspo accounts on IG to see what they were eating or what their advice was. 
_________________________________________________

I’d come up with what I thought was a solid plan, and then when it came down to it I’d eat everything in sight because I didn't want to be the odd one out. I’d feel uncomfortably full & then self conscious about how I looked with a food baby in my outfit or swim suit.

Doesn’t sound like much fun, does it? 
_________________________________________________

So, what can we do to enjoy ourselves without the feelings of guilt afterwards?! How can we SURVIVE the 4th?!

By just being ourselves. By not having a “plan”. By just eating and drink WHAT WE WANT in moderation!! Listening to our bodies natural hunger cues. They WILL tell you when you’re full.

I kept telling myself if I could just get my dream body, see that specific number on the scale, have abs..... then I would finally be happy.

Ya know something? I got that dream body, saw that ideal Number, even got the abs.... I was happy temporarily. But as quickly as it came it went.

I have a unique situation as a former fitness competitor. But I think many you can relate to this as well.

It’s not the body, the weight or the abs that make us happy. It’s mindset and learning to love ourselves just as we are, in this moment. Taking time to enjoy the journey rather than wishing it away.

One of the most common challenges women face when it comes to reaching their health & fitness goals: Don’t like to workout.

It’s hard, it’s not fun, it’s uncomfortable. But you know what’s harder, a lot less fun & way more uncomfortable? Staying where you are. 
______________________________________________

So the question is: How did I get past the initial hard and learn to love working out? I changed my Mindset. I decided that it was worth being uncomfortable for a short period of time each day instead of feeling uncomfortable for the rest of my life.

Then what? I created small goals to challenge myself just enough. I took it 1 workout, 1 day at a time. After a while I Started feeling good after the workout. I Started getting strong. I Started seeing results.

Now the only question left to answer is: would you rather be uncomfortable for a few hours a week or the rest of your life?

I might ruffle some feathers with this post but I’ve decided that I need to get real with what I believe & what works for me. So here goes.......

SUGAR DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT. 😱😱😱

Yep. You heard me.

So many of us think we need to cut out sugar & that will solve our problems and help us reach our fitness goals. 🚫WRONG🚫

Sugar isn’t the issue. Our relationship with food is. The fact that we don’t have self control is. Using food for comfort & to cope with emotions is. Being in a caloric surplus (or in some cases not eating ENOUGH) is.

Sugar is glucose. All carbs in our body are broken down into glucose. No matter where they come from. 
_________________________________________________ ^^This is why I firmly believe that flexible dieting aka macro tracking is a great solution to most “dieting” fails. With flexible dieting there are NO off limits foods. Yes, you can eat Oreos & Ice cream, even wine & pizza too. None of these foods will make you fat if you eat them in moderation & in appropriate amounts ACCORDING TO YOUR GOALS.

So — if you feel the need to cut out sugar & other foods more power to you, sister! (I mean that sincerely). But I’ll be over here enjoying my wine & Oreos and still on track to reach my fitness goals.
