YOU DON’T DESERVE TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF 
Harsh, right?! I wouldn’t be caught dead saying that to someone. So why did I used to say it to myself? 
For years I spent so much wasted time and energy tearing myself down. Making excuses as to why I couldn’t be happy with my body. Or shouldn’t feel good about myself. 
I spent countless days/nights: >>Eating my feelings and then getting mad at myself for pigging out. >>Feeling guilty about an indulgence, so punished myself at the gym the next day (or week) >>Having pity parties, cancelling plans because I didn’t feel good in my clothes >>Crying in front of the mirror, because I hated what I saw 
And I NEVER, I repeat, NEVER want to go back. 
How in the world did I ever get out of that black hole of unhappiness? I made a choice. Just one simple decision. 
WHY NOT ME. 
I decided I something had to be done and started making changes to reflect my goals and the ultimate end result of wanting to feel good about myself. Some days it’s still a work in progress, if I’m being completely honest. 
BUT day after day, week after week, month after month I knew I didn’t want to waste my time doing those things listed above anymore. My desire to change had finally become greater than my desire to stay the same.

HOW DO I GET BACK ON TRACK AFTER A FUN WEEKEND?
————————————————————— We had an amazing weekend filled with family, fun, celebration, FOOD & adult beverages. But unfortunately that leaves me feeling a little sluggish, bloated and regretful (yes, even now I still feel guilty sometimes!)
————————————————————— In the past I would dwell on it. I’d let it consume my mind with negative thoughts and talk down to myself. I might even say screw it because I’ve “already ruined my progress this week” and “can just start again next Monday”. ••
HOLD UP. ••
This mentality got me NOWHERE. It actually made things worse. ————————————————————— Rather than regretting all my decisions, I think of the positives. I learn from my experience and move forward. I remember the fun and amazing memories created & talk positively to myself about how I was able to be present in the moment. ————————————————————— So how do you get back on track after a fun weekend? ————————————————————— Start small & start immediately. Pick one small thing you can start doing NOW. Maybe that’s drinking water or taking a walk at lunch or making sure your next meal is full of fruits & veggies.

Maybe you had intentions of gettin up early for a workout or to pack your lunch. And... oops! You hit the snooze too many times and don’t have time now! 🤬
—————————————————————————————Been there, done that way more times than I can count!! —————————————————————————————Here’s a few tips to help you turn your day around even when you’re not prepared:
—————————————————————————————1. Drink water!! Lots of it. Start your day with a large glass and drink often throughout the day. Set an alarm if you need to.
—————————————————————————————2. Focus on protein & veggies! If you forgot to eat breakfast or pack a lunch & need to get something on the go you can still be healthy about it. —————————————————————————————{One of my favorite on the go breakfasts is McDonald’s scrambled eggs & oatmeal (watch the extra toppings) or Bruegger’s Skinny Egg White Bagel.}
{One of my favorite on the go lunches is Chipotle Burrito Bowl Salad- lettuce, protein, veggies, pico, beans, guacamole, 1/2 scoop rice}

SICK OF FEELING UNCOMFORTABLE ALL THE TIME?
————————————————————— Girl, I feel you on this one. It hits so close to home, let me tell you a quick story.
————————————————————— I remember being in high school, college and even after college (when I was an adult and was supposed to finally have things figure out) and still hating my body. I thought that as I got older I would just learn to accept how my body was and how I felt about it. That was not the case. ————————————————————— I remember so crystal clear, like it was yesterday, all the nights (or mornings) I’d get ready to go out with friends or even just to go to work.  I’d do my hair, put on my makeup (more than I needed because I thought it would make me feel better), and then got to the part I’d been dreading. ————————————————————— Finding something to wear. ————————————————————— I’d spend longer than I’d like to admit trying to find something that I didn’t feel “fat” or uncomfortable in. Switching from outfit to outfit just feeling worse as the pile of clothes grew bigger on my bed. Sometimes I’d get so frustrated and feel so crummy by the end that I’d back out of my plans last minute or I’d resort to putting on the same baggy sweater or flowy top because I knew it would hide my insecurities. •••
Flash forward to today. •••
I still have insecurities. I’m human. But through fitness I’ve been able to gain more control over those feelings. I have more control over my eating habits so that I can go out and enjoy myself without feeling guilty. I have a consistent workout routine that delivers results and has transformed by body into something I am proud of so that I don’t have to hide behind the baggy sweaters and flowy tops any more.
————————————————————— I mean, yeah, I love the baggy sweaters but I wear them because I WANT to not because I don’t feel comfortable in anything else. ————————————————————— If you’re sick of feeling uncomfortable in your skin and are ready, like SERIOUSLY ready, to make a change for GOOD, for forever, let’s connect.

I used to look in the mirror and wonder why week after week of TRYING to lose weight I wasn’t seeing any progress.

I’d switch from workout to workout based on what I could find on Pinterest that week. I’d cut out bread one week, the next it was no fat, the week after it was no sugar.

I’d be “fine” Monday-Thursday (and by “fine” I mean trying to convince Myself I was happy but secretly craved everything under the sun) but come Friday night it was a damn free for all. I literally couldn’t stay consistent with any of it.

If it does, you’re not alone. I’ve been there! I know the frustration of wanting it so badly but also not quite knowing what to do to get it or how to stay motivated & consistent.

So how did I get past this & get out of my own way?? _________________________________________________ >>First, I had to realize I did want it badly enough to do whatever I needed to. >>Then, I recognized I couldn’t do it on my own and needed accountability & support. Support from someone who understood & accountability to keep going when I wanted to give up.

I didn’t need the help forever. And neither do you.

ABS & ROLLS AT THE SAME TIME?! Per usual just trying to keep things real & transparent with you all 🙋🏻‍♀️ Whoever says you can’t have abs or get a flat stomach after a baby is 1000% incorrect. It is possible. 
I remember scrolling through social media seeing all these “fit moms” and their “Fit bodies after baby” thinking if they can do it so can I! 
So I set out to prove to myself that it could be done. I won’t lie, it does take hard work, consistency & patience. A LOT of patience. 
But I don’t want that to discourage anyone from going after their goals. Honestly, the hard is what makes it worth it.

Even though I accomplished my goal of seeing my abs again, I wasn’t fully happy about it. Because I still had these rolls and loose skin in areas I didn’t before.

I didn’t see this stuff on the “Fit moms” on social media. They didn’t share the behind the scenes stuff. The real & honest stuff.

So that’s what I am doing here for you. Showing you the highlights and the behind the scenes stuff because my goal is to be as transparent as possible in order to inspire AND educate you.
