More snow on the way… At least from central and northern Massachusetts point northward. Snowfall thoughts and a preview of Thanksgiving arctic air here.
‪Like any good New Englanders, a cloudy sky this weekend didn’t stop Danielle and me from sitting outside and “sunbathing.” When you know snow and cold will be here too soon and you’ll be working thru it all, you cherish 75° clouds. Today was decidedly brighter.‬
First evening of vacation was last night - Danielle loves to drive my truck and I needed to be logged into our @nbc10boston @stormrangernbc remotely from the passengers seat, anyway. Great data in high resolution from the mobile Doppler for our team, and on our app. Arrived to the mountains of NH in time for a great light show.
And...we have liftoff of the @NBC10Boston and @NECN @StormRanger, deployed to Cape Cod in advance of our storm. The nation’s only media mobile Doppler is at it again, going where no other radar is - with the closest radar to the storm center, we’ll keep you posted like no other.
I love this name tag from my visit to the Hurld Elementary School in Woburn, MA today. They employ a security system that uses your license, so the very formal “Matthew Noyes” with a less formal official title, “WEATHER MAN.” 😂😂 That’s great! As always, I’ll be sure to get the kiddos on TV and make them superstars in the morning. Yours Truly, Weather Man Matthew
In case you missed it this morning, we met our newest member of the @NBC10Boston family: a new puppy! This @nbc10bostonpuppy has a very special purpose - he’ll be paired with a deserving Veteran as part of the #TODAYpuppysquad. Vote for his name at
If you are a hardcore climate change believer, strong skeptic, unsure or just someone who cares to know more about our world and our changing home - planetary and local - our Early Warning Weather Team invites you to join us shortly, at 7:30 on NBC10 Boston Ch.10 for a very special presentation.
Hey! Have you heard it’s going to be cold today?! 😂 I’ll continue to have a look at records we’ll set, wind chill forecast and what it means for us in our lives and a few chances for snow on NBC Boston Ch. 10 til 7 (and during the Today Show TIL 9) and on NECN til 9.
Whoop! There it is...lightning strike just off Rocky Nook, Kingston, MA. A few more of these possible in heavy rain of SE MA.
And here it is! First thunder snow of the season for New England (+ signs) in blinding, brief squalls moving from Northeast Kingdom of VT to Coos County, NH.
