We just opened registration for 6 sessions of Treasure in the Stacks: An Escape Room Experience (Fairmont)! Visit the library system calendar at to sign up! You may have to click to the second page.
Each session is for a group of 6 people to go through at once. If you have less than that, it's ok, but random other people may also be assigned to the group. If the sessions all fill up, we hope to add more! --- Join us to solve the mystery of legendary jazz singer Ella E. Reader. Unfortunately Ella recently gave her “final performance”, and revealed in her last will that she hid her fortune in the basement of the old library, leaving clues that only a true music lover could unravel. Recent budget cuts have closed the library and it is soon to be demolished to make room for a Starbucks. Your team of adventurers has one hour to locate the hidden fortune before the wrecking ball arrives to bury it forever. Can you find the treasure and save the library from destruction? Can you find the Treasure in the Stacks?
Due to the complexity of the puzzles, only recommended for teens 15+ and adults. Please contact Dan Ward at or 304-366-1210 for more information. Sponsored by The Friends of the Marion County Public Library
