Instant gratification vs. Satisfaction?

I eat these healthy prepped meals and there is little instant gratification but I am way more satisifed at the end of the day because I hit my goals. When I eat with no structure, and eat whatever comes my way, I get a lot of instant gratification but I have ZERO satifcation at the end of the day.
Kind of weird, right?

Such is the case with everything else in life. Instant gratification is the hardest to combat but knowing what you want makes it easy. --

Also, being around people that care about what they eat helps a lot as well! Most of you probably have parents that eat by taste and my parents are no different. Therefore, it is very hard for me to eat exactly as planned when I am home. --

And that is okay. Our bodies are one tough being and can handle the fluctuations. Just got to be careful with hitting them with too many fluctuations.

Important lesson from peak week:
--
I was able to hit my diet and training as close to 99% of what my coach told me. Most of my prep was around 85-90% with school and full time job.
--
What I did differently during peak week was that I laid out exactly the foods I will eat the next day and just followed that list as I went from meal to meal. Take out the guess work.

Now, back to real life: if you want today to be better than yesterday, plan today the night before. Write down exactly what you plan on accomplishing and just go down the list!

Throughout animal kingdom, for example, male lions sleep 20 hours a day. The other 4 hours, they go to work(sounds niceπŸ˜‚).

The point is your body needs rest. Getting a good night sleep will only help your hustle, and grind. If you aren't well rested, you are going to waste a lot of time trying to figure out little things. Not to mention the cortisol and stress your body will be under.
